New Grower Containing Auto Ultimate, RDWC, Small Tent

Hey guys

Experienced photo grower, i have grown autos twice now, the first turned out miniature the second turned out over 1.2 meters tall or 4 foot tall

I have just gone thru the Dutch Passion Forum and looked at a few of the Auto Ultimate grow logs seems not many people chose RDWC is there any reason? the ones i did see the AU were either manageable or absolutely massive

I would like to do 2 AU in RDWC System in a small 3x2x8 foot tent

How are u guys keeping them within check without topping?

I had 2 ultimates in a 2x4 x5 tent . I used Lst , ended up with two monsters that had to finally be removed from tent to finish. They get huuuge.

No topping. Just Lst, super cropping, and defolation till they be came very large. I was happily impressed with the diameter of the buds. They were the largest of any plants I grew inside so far.
With the hight of your tent I think your good. What is your lighting? I used 400hps to flower mine.

I am going to run 4 Cree cob's and a Mars 400 led, 375watts of led power all though i think i will only need to power each cob to around 35-38watts

hey buddy im on my third a/u just now in NFT at day 65ish. thats a 1mx1m tent with 540w blurple and shes only about 16" tall. they do take a lot of work to keep in check but its easy enough. i fimmed her but i wouldnt do it again as it gets them pretty unmanageable for a while. loads of lst and regular, heavy defol seems to be the way forward. by heavy i mean i take off a shopping bag full once every 7-10 days when in bloom. i try not to do it so much during veg but it hasnt burt her when i did. i also used liquid scilicone this time wich has made the branches so much more flexible. almost impossible to snap them now : )

i think 2 plants might not have enough room, have any of u hacked the ladies back when they over grow?

I like your set up. I would never hack on my plants. I seriously had to remove them from tent, and hang light from ceiling, to finish last month of grow. Use LST and supercroppin and as evilscotsman said major defolation. 1 ultimate will fill your tent. Either way I would like to see your grow.

here mate im really not being funny but you cant fit 2 a/u in that space in dwc. smaller soil pots yes but theyre gonna get fuckin huge in that system. look at the size of mine, i couldnt even fit that 1 plant in there. if you get it even half right theyre gonna struggle so much for space that youll probably end up losing half of them to bud rot due to no air circulation in the middle of them.
id go with just the one or choose smaller strains. dwc is lethal for yields but there is such a thing as too much bush. only putting one plant in and having the full system on would make you an absolute beast and also be a piece of piss to control the ph. i ignored somebody telling me not to put 2 a/u in one res last time and ended up having to chop off 20+ colas and it broke my fuckin heart. lost about 4oz from the middle of the plants aswell. couldnt get into the bits i needed to defol, it was just a nightmare. i made that mistake man. please dont do the same.
