The Stone Dragons germed and i put them in their final pots.

This grow will be without fertilizer/nutes. I want to see how a 32oz Container fares against an 1l Airpot. The 32oz Container is transparent because i wonder if roots get "light pruned".

looks good!
I know airpots cant compete but it will be quite interesting to see the difference it makes... don't know much about them apart from they are banned from comp so... I bet they make a significant difference.

Got anothern

to my knowledge there is no such thing as light pruning. The danger in clear containers is that algae can start growing in your pot where the medium is exposed to light? Crap, now I'm all stoned and not sure :/

I think you're right. Im sure it was about deep water culture I was reading, that any light getting in is bad as it causes algae growth, probably applies here too.

more I think more it makes sense (I think, lol)
Bless the smoke :)

so for algae you need bacteria and light. In deep water culture algae is likely a pretty bad thing, I figure it will quickly permeate the whole medium. In an air-pot or other pot there is still a junction of light and growing medium but water is always draining away there. In a clear pot you will probably let the moisture sweat into the inside of the cup, creating a good environment for the bacteria and allowing plenty of light. It should only happen on the circumference of the medium of course unlike the DWC story so probably things will be fine until roots fill the pot and live with the algae...I don't know how well they get along, but I guesse avoiding it is a good idea.

I'm out guys, my seed hit some really high temps and stopped soon after it started in the ground. I dont have many autos left so im going to save them for my bigger pots. Have fun, next time.....
