Hi Folks
I sometimes use non-saltet cooled down cooking water for watering my plants on my balcony and in my window sill and from what I've observed my plants especially love black bean cooking water during flowering. This is a non scientific observation but I link it to high levels of potassium in the bean water. Microbes probably likes to feed on it too. Anyways, I have a hunch that a lot of the contained nutrients are readily available to plants and therefore it could be a good supplement to regular feeding.
I also use cooking water from potatoes, chick peas and vegetables in general when I remember not to salt it before cooking.
Ok, just a small scale eco friendly tip and please share your thoughts on this.
Cheers!
