Old Reviews cutting FFOF with Promix?

I'm starting my first grow soon and I have some bags of Fox Farm Ocean Forest but i'm nervous to use it because I hear it's pretty harsh on new seedlings, would it be a good idea to mix the OF with some ProMix (50/50) I can get down the street locally? Then just use that with the nute trio?

or maybe even more ProMix to be safe?

You can start them in 32oz+ cups in straight Promix, and then tier transplant them into the OF.

yeah I know, I just really want to avoid moving it once it's planted, and keep it right in the 3 gallon pot it starts in

Fill your pot up with the OF and then scoop out a good section in the center all the way down and fill that with Promix.

With all that said, I'm sure you could do a 50/50 mix and be just fine.

that idea actually makes a lot of sense, I like it! I'll probably decide exactly what i'm gonna do at the last minute but its good to know the two will work together and i'm not doing something stupid
