That might not necessarily be deficiency. Those spots could be caused by water/nute solution being splashed on the leaves. They're all looking good

Ok looks like my issue is getting worse.
I just tried a foliage spray with 1/4 star calmag and a few drops of dish soap.
Anyone have any ideas? Problem with my coco?

Cat. I know about that effect where water droplets magnify the light and burn leaves. I'm very careful not to splash and water on them, and if I do I dry it off.
Maybe I'm jumping the gun I don't know. Just trying to catch problems before they arise since I don't have experience with coco yet.

So I'm guessing you did your foliar spray under the leaves also? And you will leave your lights up a little bit higher until they dry out with a good fan blowing on them.

That plants big enough to get a full watering to run off at least every 3 days. You could do it daily if you wanted to right now I'm not sure that would benefit you enough at this point. But, you really shouldn't be going any longer. So hopefully you're flooding the whole pot now and getting good run off. And the plant is not re up taking the runoff?



I'm not totally convinced that's a Cal Mag problem on those lower leaves I'm more inclined to think the plants been just a little bit out of the proper pH zone for a while and those lower leaves are kind of showing you that.

So if I were growing this plant what I would do is add some of Cal Mag right into my nutrients solution as long as my total TDS isn't too high. Water to run off and March on and see how she goes.

I hope you're staying around 5.8 pH. Going a bit higher is okay but whenever I go lower I seem to have issues. However, if you do go higher than 5.8 just make it a once in awhile thing you know like bounce between 5.8 and 6 5.9 or 6.1. that zone.

I really think things will straighten out for you I wouldn't worry terribly about those lower leaves at this point. If it starts going to some of your new growth then you're really going to have to re-examine things.

Oh yer, I see the rust spots better now. I'd go with what Jingo says. It can take a little while to see the benefits from adding the additional nutes. If it gets worse, post in the Infirmary for sick plants section, they're brilliant over there

Hey guys, thanks for the replies

So I have been watering the plants about every 3 days so far. I have been feeding nutes at 1/4 strength, base, calmag, roots excelurator, Algen extract, and liquid aminos. PPM of feed is in the 250-300 range. They get about a gallon each watering ph to 5.8 to 6.0. Usually at least 25-30% runoff each watering, and then I empty their trays from the runoff. My biggest concern about ph is than my runoff ph is steady at 6.8 and does not change at all. When I did the foliage spray I didn't get under the leaves so I'll hit that this afternoon when I get home and see how she looks.

I always get these calcium deficiencies (rusty spots) but usually when my plant starts flowering and I increase the intensity of my lights and switch them into bloom mode. I guess my lights are just too intense, but I adjusted my light intensity and added calcium...now I don't get the rusty spots so soon anymore, but they still appear when my girl is far into flowering.

When I was researching for a solution I stumbled across (this link below) and the author of the thread claims that these rusty spots might not be a calcium deficiency, but rather a fungus that infects our ladies. In my case however it turned out to be a cal. deficiency.

I really think your girl is much too young to experience any calcium deficiency, but you never know. So the link is just food for thought.

Okay, I see your issue. Your plants are simply hungry you can feed it a higher total dissolved solids than you have been. You could be up around four or five hundred right now easy. That will deliver more minerals and you'll have a happier healthier plant. In other words if your background EC/TDS is okay I would go ahead and feed whatever your schedule recommends, full strength now.

Nice link I've been curious about fungus I know a lot of guys up here in Washington State just automatically use fungicides but I don't. It's a pretty scary right up, if you think about it.

yes, it is scary and very confusing because it looks just like cal. issue.
