Seed Stockers DDubs Wedding Glue Solo Cup Comp Grow 2021

Hi sweetie. Did you say in your first post that your cups are soil and coco? I did that once and had MAJOR PH issues. I just go pure coco now.
You will get a handle on it I am sure.

Thanks for the feedback. Ya, the coco cup has some perlite and a bit of peat mix. I was hoping to add a little moisture retention to coco because i didnt think i could keep up with watering schedule. The other is in my regular peat/perlite mix. Hopefully i can get them on track by giving some extra water to runoff.

She's been a bit droopy lately and i noticed the cup was a bit light but the top of the soil still looks wet. Too wet, i have a moss patch for a soil bed. She was hungry so I bottom fed her by dunking the cup to try to let the top of the soil dry out. We'll see whay happens. Either way she is pretty far behind some of the other comp grows.

Water in= pH 6.2, PPM 0, EC 0
Run off = pH 7.3 PPM 490, EC 0.7

I can see why people make the switch to coco. pH is still high but doing well despite, probably because she gets fed 2-3 times a day. Not much but enough to wash new water over the roots. I just bumped feed to 700ppm EC1.4. Im guessing this will be my entry to the solo cup comp. I feel i need to catch up to some of the other grows innthis comp.

Water in= pH 5.7, PPM 500, EC 1.0
Run off = pH 7.2 PPM 430, EC 0.7

Plant isn't looking too bad. It's really easy to see other peoples grow and feel behind. Don't stress, your plan might just need a bit longer. And yes, the watering coco often can be a chore. I'm only having to hit mine once a day at this point. I'm sure it will need twice a day eventually. Probably just become an AM task.

AM - Brew coffee? water plant.
PM - Make tea? water plant.

Just make sure you drink from the correct cup.
I broke down and bought an auto watering kit. Depending on how these grows go, i might just do coco in solos but still keep my peat mix for the 5 gal. I feel like there is way more waste witg feeding coco but you can't dismiss the results.

Doing well and taking the 1-2 times a day feedings. pH is still too high but i think im over coming it by keeping fresh water innthe root zone. I see the numbers finally coming down. Hopefully it will stabilize soon.

Water in= pH 5.7, PPM 700, EC 1.4
Run off = pH 6.9 PPM 550, EC 1.1

Doing ok. Slow start but she will be a great little plant. She probably suffered from too much water early on but we are doing better.

Stickered up so Ill be using her as my comp entry. Defenitly more development on this one. I would guess because she is less prone to over watering and getting fresh water mix every time. I pinched the stem near the top to try and stunt her upward growth. Shes a little bruised but i think i did what it was intended to do.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and TGIF to evwyone else.

The girls now have their own tent and light and they are looking happier. i lowered the pH of the water in to try and compensate for the high pH at run off. I will slowly creap back up to 6.2/6.3. This is a peat soil mix so the pH has to be a little higher than coco.

Doing well with the extra space and dedicted light. I think the pH is leveling out and shes growing well. I trimmed a few of the lower leaves to push grow to the tops and open up the middle. We are into flower at this point and im happy enough with her structure minus being lop sided from uneven light in the old tent. I will be pitching the tops of my solos from now on.
