New Grower DIAMOND II LED Panel - suggestion required (URGENT)

hi,

i am new to LED grow lights but having said that i have more limited options for getting one. cant get well known brands as the shipping cost is usually more than twice the actual cost. so here is the deal..

came across "DIAMONDII 600W 800W 1000W Double Chip Full Spectrum LED Grow Light Panel Kit For Greenhouse Plant Veg Grow/Bloom"
the panels claim "2015 Newest technology ! Double Chips 10W LEDs which is much brighter and efficient than 3W and 5W LEDs"

so please suggest if the LED panels are worth the investment. will be using them for approximately 3' x 3' (9 sq,ft) grow area.

it will be starting my first grow in a couple of weeks max. was initially thinking to go with 250W HPS light but extreme hot summers and excessive heat from HPS is making me reconsider.

As to those particular lights I can't tell you how they are, I do however grow with LEDs and they are great. I like the fact the temps are lower as well as the old power bill. I run 2 mars panels. I have 1 96*3 reflector panel and one 300w old style lights. I noticed a whopping 20bux increase in bill. Hope this helps you sorry couldn't answer about those in particular

came across lot of good grows with Mars Hydro and 300W panel should have worked fine for me but cant get them here in my country. not much worried about the power bill either because i have planned to use 300W to 400W of electricity for lighting up 9 sq. ft grow area. my concern is that i dont want to buy knock off grow lights and end up discovering that by ruining my grow.

the mentioned Diamond II LED panels says upto 240W power consumption for 1000W LED panel. this is confusing me. does this mean this panel is using just 25% of potential 1000W LED power? isnt it too much of waste? what good are 100 x 10W LEDs if they are drawing around 100 x 2.5W?

If I where you I'd get pacific light concepts cree cob panel if you get two it replaces a hps de 1000 water and only using 680 watts from wall, imo

I just started using LEDs myself.. I got the Mars reflector 96.. My closet is about 3x3x5..
If I understand correctly, say you got a panel with 100 LEDs @ 5 watts each=500 watts
..they don't use all those watts because they would burn out quicker.. Also the cooling fans use some of those watts too.. I'm just a noob though, I could be way wrong..
Here's some pics of my led.. It says 207 watt on the amazon listing.. But it says 480 watt on the back of the panel..

nice light you got there Bobgoblin .. but as i said i cant them without paying 150$+ in shipping. so not an option. i live in Pakistan.
to add to my pain came across post by Mars Hydro on youtube where it says these 10W double 5W chip Chinese LEDs are $hit!! check this link:

so i guess will have to look into CREE and other options as carlose said..! Really sucks man! :/

I have 2 100 watt Advanced Diamond series led's. One regular DS and the other is an DS XTE. Picked them up off Craigslist for $100 each and I couldn't be happier. I only used one for the majority of this one and for 100w, I'm pretty impressed so far.
