hello and welcome....
this grow features a strain available from RCMC.....Dragon Blueberry....
9 seed were placed on damp paper towel, bagged in a ziplock, and placed on the cable box for 36 hours....
all 9 swelled and popped tails...1 sprouted tail first and was mishandled trying to plant it rightside up....
so with 100% germination rate,we are off and running...

the 8 survivors were sprouted in doubled red cups ,bottom removed from inner cup for tier transplanting,....the sprouting medium is Ferry Morse soiless seedling mix.....

the pots are .8 gallon airpots full of pro mix bx...

ferts will be the Grow More line.....veg 16-16-16....bloom 4-26-26 and n-cal mag...along with some Hawiian bud if needed at mid-bloom.

the tent is in a shed .....the heat and humidity are brutal this time of the year so to keep temps down I run lights from 7pm to 10am....15/9

the light is a 8 bulb t5ho with 4 (6500k) and 4 (3000k) bulbs totalling 436 watts..

weekly updates as soon as the sprouts kick it into veg mode....

Subbed in for this one Hereb4 good luck bro :smokebuds:

cool...c'mon in si,duggy ....new strain,new medium,new pots....feels like my first grow

tier transplant was successful....I can't see any transplant stress on the sprouts...normally I would have waited at least another week before transplanting, but these Dragon Blueberry have a very fast growing tap root....it was curled up in the bottom of the outer cup in just a couple days....not wanting to stunt growth,I opted to transplant....

they got their first feeding today....1/4 teaspoon of 16-16-16 in 1 gallon of r/o water.....ph was 6.8 without any adjustment necessary..

I wondered where you've been. :howdy: Growing. And PH on point. Nice.

:gthumb:

Looking good hereb4. This strain looks very promising to stand out from many other good strains. I am waiting for my seeds to arrive and start the dragon blueberry adventure.
Can I ask why you transplanted? The seeds could of gone straight in the airpots you have. I can understand if you plant many red cups and only select the finest to go into big pots, I prefer to reduce transplant shock where possible.
Just curious of your strategy.
Good luck and I hope the best with your grow.

dingo...welcome....
I put these seed in the red cups because I didn't have anything to fill the airpots with....the coco I thought of using had ph issues....which left me with 3 quarts of seedling starter and germinated seed showing tails...until I could make the 80 mile trip to the store with the pro mix..
also I have a bad habit of popping more seed than needed so I can choose the best specimens .
