New Grower Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry - what does it like?

Life is risky, none of us asked to be born in the dangerous place, but we are, and if a plant can make the rest of the world not seem so bad, its a risk worth taking every time in my eyes, its their law, not my law.
Just be smart, like it doesn't exist and your risk is nill with a small set up.
GET ODOUR CONTROL, start sucking air out into a CF or get some ONO blocks at least bro.
NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL ;)
Have you started your flowering nutes? If so when and doses?
Play safe,

hey stonedBRO,

I'm on Fox Farm nutes for soil--
Grow Big (6-4-4)
Big Bloom (0.01-0.3-0.7)
Tiger Bloom (2-8-4)

I give them Fox Farm Big Bloom with a dash of FF Grow Big once a week, and Big Bloom with a dash of Tiger Bloom once a week. About 10 drops total in a small watering container with the rainwater. Having to water almost every day now. Last week I substituted one of those feedings with a pinch of Maxicrop (seaweed fertilizer with a lot of calcium and a little magnesium) and a pinch of epsom (for the rest of the magnesium) just to ward against deficiencies, since they're getting mashed up against the LEDs now. I'll do that every other week I think. Also started tapering off the Grow Big. I started off following the Fox Farm feeding guide but lately have just been going by my gut. I also have some FF Open Sesame (5-45-19) which I was going to add but supposedly it's mostly for forcing plants to start flowering and that's already going down. I'd like to get some ChaChing for finishing them up but I already have more nutes than I'll ever be able to use. Wish they sold this stuff in small sizes for micro gardeners...

Rainwater is working out well. I don't know the exact ph because I'm using drops this time around but runoff is at 5-ish, basically the same color as what the rainwater starts out as. The drops are not dead accurate but then neither was my meter that screwed me up last time, so...

got the odor handled pretty well... ionizer fan blowing into the cab, smaller ionizer plugged in inside the cab, big sheet of carbon taped over the back of a tower fan circulating air in the outer room, and some tio2 compact fluorescent bulbs in the outer room as well that I leave at least one on all the time. Smells nice right in the cab but once you get a few feet away not so much.

Going a LOT better than my last grow, for sure. This one will hopefully be all wrapped up by the end of May, barring maybe the auto blueberry. As soon as one of the other plants finishes I'll start pushing the blueberry.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sounds like your on top of it, I don't no how your odour will be when they flower but you might want to consider a back up plan now if they get to stinky and stealth is key.
I would suggest getting off those drops! Investing in a decent PH pen and calibrating it often is what the pros say, personally just using a cheap pen but if I had the dough I would get an essentials or blue lab :)
Looking forward to your next update pal

Oh, they're cranking now, and if I hadn't added the carbon tower fan and small booster ionizer (didn't have those last time) it would smell up the whole house, but it's staying contained in one corner of the basement. When I get a better setup it'll definitely have a filtered exhaust built in. We don't have a lot of visitors fortunately, and I never let repairmen etc. come while I'm growing. I also have an oil diffuser down there in case I need a quick coverup. Thieves oil is so strong you can't smell anything over it, really medicinal smell like you just scrubbed your house top to bottom.

Fortunately we have our own place and it's not attached to other houses. Mostly I just don't want to give our neighbors or anyone else reasons for suspicion. We mind our own business but not everyone around here does.

Was going to invest in one with my next setup, yes. Thanks for mentioning Blue Lab, hadn't heard of that one before. For this grow I'm just trying not to sweat it too much. I check the rainwater each time I bring a gallon of it down for the plants, check the runoff every few days, just try to make sure it stays consistent to the extent that the drops can tell me that. I used to use filtered water which required a lot more correction. The rainwater has been great.

BTW, not that it matters but I'm actually female. I don't mind if people call me dude, mate, or bro, just wanted to clear it up in case it was confusing...

I had actually wondered if you were a chick dude ;) turns out I was right (Y)

and your lucky you do not have houses surrounding you, that would be ideal to me, AND you have a basement!

I would try use rain water if I could, however do not know much about contamination in the rain from exhaust fumes, factories, cars etc or how living near sea water would effect the rain water but I am sure it would be negligible.
Out of taps here is quite hard, with a high ph.
I let it sit out to evaporate for as long as I can before I use it and add like 1ml of ph down after my nutes to get 5.5ph for coco.

When you do upgrade you can get packages with 4" Carbon filter, extracting inline fan and ducting for pretty cheap online...I would suggest always sucking through the CF and just expel the scrubbed exhaust anywhere :)

Looking forward to the next update, I will get one up over the weekend ;)

Day 51--the auto blueberry finally started stretching out this week, still way behind the others but picking up fast. Gnomo stopped vertical growth thank goodness. Everybody's crammed in there pretty tight now and fighting to get light. Smell is starting to expand beyond the current controls. Going to move the large air cleaner down there for the time being and see if I can throw another supplemental light in the mix. Some of these pics really lose the detail but the buds are starting to fill out nicely. (Wonder if there's a trick to preparing pics for uploading, like pre-shrinking or pre-compressing them so the site doesn't shrink them more maybe?)

you can't really see it in this but the AB is getting furred up with lots and lots of tiny trichs rather than the larger but fewer ones on the other two

I'll say it again; Gnomo is an overlooked strain. Great for daytime.

The Pineapple Express smells really nice, though I have to take it out of the cab to notice

stonedBRO--My neighbors are fairly close, this is an old "city suburb" neighborhood, we can see into each other's windows. But, not attached like townhouses. The best thing about the basement is that a previous owner bricked over the small windows, which I didn't like until I started growing :) Mostly I try to keep it so that if I have to open the door to someone for a package or whatever they can't smell it coming up through the floor, which it easily can if I'm not careful. And when I'm decarbing in the oven and extracting I can't have windows open or anything like that. Most of our immediate neighbors are pretty easygoing but there are a few who give us the stink eye for not voting the way they do etc. and wouldn't mind causing trouble just for that. Our area isn't quite as conservative as it used to be but that just makes the diehards even nastier. And man do they hate weed. But we're quiet and mind our own damn business so we mostly get left alone so long as we don't flaunt it. My husband thinks I'm just being paranoid and back when he used to smoke would refuse to close the blinds or sometimes even the windows when he'd get the bong out :( worked my last effin nerve. He still thinks I'm paranoid but appreciates that I'm keeping us supplied, so he 'indulges' me. Edibles are a lot easier to deal with.

I kinda wanna just build a full-on grow room into that corner of the basement and grow vegetables in there when I'm not doing weed. I can do most of the stuff myself but will have to hire help for some stuff. Gotta be careful nobody tumbles to the game plan.

Hey Guys new to this forum but seen the thread and thought I'd post a few of the Dutch Passion auto blueberry I'm working on right now. Took these in the dark so you can see the hues in her.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1399239258.301600.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399239272.767582.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399239287.883718.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399239297.449569.jpg

Hey CharacterZero, looks like you're just about to harvest! How many days in the pics, and what kind of lighting/medium/nutes etc. did you use? First time with the DP auto blueberry? Sorry for all the Qs, just wondering if the strain is smallish or slow-growing for others like this one has been for me. Thanks for stopping in!

Hello. As of today, this plant is 79 days old, I am running a 50/50 promix hp/ potters gold blend, I start my girls off in a 4x8 tent under G8 LED's and move them to finish to my flower room under a hortalux 1000w. I run the Advanced Nutes ph perfect line, and utilize a R/O called the hydrogardener pro from advancedwaterfilters.com I will post more pics when I get home today.

Here are the pics I promised. I have included a pic of my LED/Veg tent, and a pic of her in my other my other grow area to get some perspective of size. Sorry for the picture quality I took these on my phone.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1399326061.662480.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399326071.662492.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399326082.663056.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1399326099.928587.jpg
