- Homegrown organic weed.
I never had a problem with Rapid Rooters being too wet. I have had troubles germinating with Azos a long time ago and quit using it back then. Not saying it has anything to do with this. I do not use Mykos or anything other than Kelp and weak nutrients 150 PPM during germination. I use the Mykos at transplant.
Sooner or later we all have troubles with germination. I think it is just part of farming!
I am with you regarding the use of mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria. I‘ve tried to read as much as I could find about this topic a certain time ago and in summary I remember that:
- Products with beneficial bacteria should always be used within 24 hours. After this time it starts to get anaerobic. If you add it to your reservoir it‘s better to change water after this time. Better is to hand water your plants when applying it. Even so if you‘re growing in a SIP or Autopot ... I‘m using an Earthbox and I pour it by hand every other week. In DWC you can pour it close to the stem so the bacteria can get in direct touch with the root system.
- The arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) infects the root system and grows together with it in perfect symbiosis. A single application does all the magic ... no further action required! In the case of DWC, you can apply it in seedling stage as described above. I use clay granules which are impregnated with AM and put a few of them 2in under surface right where I plan to plant the seed. AM have their greatest effect in organic, healthy systems ... their benefit with mineral feeding is lower.
Cheers and happy growing!
