If you just want 1gpw in a 1.2m x 1.2m on a budget, throw a 400w HPS bare bulb in the center vert. That's 55,000 lumens with no reflection loss. 1gpw is easily obtainable, and upwards of 1.5-2gpw is what I'd expect to see on the high side. 600w HPS would be better for the space, you'll see .75gpw easily and 1.25-1.5gpw on the high side. Beyond that you're maxing out the light for your space.
1.25gpw @ 600w = 750g or 520gpm2 in a 1.2mx1.2m.
Alternatives to GN $500 for 75w @ 150lm/w
Tasty LED t3-1750: $500 for 200w (170lm/w)
Pacific Lights Concepts Cx300: $750 for 340w(150lm/w)
Timber cxb200: $600 for 200w(150lm/w)
Those are the ones I know of pushing high end efficiency reasonably priced. Optics lighting series is good, but in the 130-150lm/w range(less leds ran at higher watts). Budmaster cob series is citiled(130-150lm/w). Budmaster god is osram(150-180lm/w), worth mentioning, similarly priced as grownortherns(watt for watt)
I'm not a representative for any of these companies. All my information is based on LED manufacturer specifications of the chips used in their lights. I will promote DIY over purchasing, but of course that's not an option for some people.
worth checking your ballasts are working properly, as Ive had one before that wasnt and all plants at one end were tiny; i tried new bulbs first then noticed it wasnt as bright after purchasing a light meter; good purchase for me; love it.Lol.. Dude your funny .
I'm fixing to order 2 260 actual watt leds . I'm hoping thwy produce some big plants. I don't know what's been going on lately buy my plants don't seem to grow that big at all . I've put in new mh bulbs and hps bulbs. And they are tiny.
I personally go a mix of LED and HPS, works for meSo.
