BAG APPEAL: *****

there is not enough stars for this. absolutely beautiful. every one who I've shared with all want some. sucks to be them LOL jk. I gave a few a g or so but that's it as I don't share very much of my high$ single malts

THE GROWTH: *****
****. the only reason this is not a 5 is because of ME. I was less than diligent with my soil prep and suffered PH lock out issues early in the grow. lesson learned

THE SMELL: *****once again, not enough stars. lovely Sweet fruity candy with a very slight fuel and earthy spicy under tones. the old lady had some Mike & Ike candy called red fruit and that's the fruit flavor

THE SMOKE: ****
again too many stars to count. great out of my bong. smooth inhale with the funky weedy fuel and spice and on exhale the fruity Sweetness with a very pleasant after taste

THE HIGH: *****
******** knock out indica high, pain relief, muscle relaxer, appetite stimulant and sleep aid

THE TASTE: *****

Smooth Sweet and fruity

in summary the only problems were of my own doing. the onset of color made this a very fun grow. and the smoke is like a fine 12year Single Malt Scotch. some thing to be savored and enjoyed.
a big round of applause to the crew at Sweet Seeds for their time and effort at producing top of the line genetics.
now for some bud porn

in the top photo upper left, those orbs are big ol drops of sticky goodness. lots dripped on the box during drying and it tasted delicious
if you havn't figured out by now....GROW THIS!

thanks guys. after a month or so in a jar, the aroma has changed somewhat. still with a sweet candy but now its more perfumey. very pleasant and unique. I put the cola top in a jar with a broveda pack and will leave it till I grow another.

almost another month in cure and it keeps getting better and better. now a sweet candy/earthy POTpourri smell and smooth and flavorful.

I;ve been looking into this strain recently.

What would you say about the odor? Is it hard to cover with a DIY Carbon Filter?

And if harvested earlier ,can you somehow diminish the couchlock effect?

Thanks for the report my friend, I didn't see your post ;)
Sweet smokes!

the smell was so unique that my wife thought it was a scented candle. I think you should be fine as far as the aroma. I've only grown this 1 so I don't know about the couch lock. maybe pm Jay and see what member of the Red Family is more sativa dom. lots of nice Red strains from the fine folks at Sweets

I agree with Elsam that Red Poison is one cracking smoke! I had a slighty different experience with the smell though (and i only grew one too) - Mine was incredibly smelly at full flower, really nice .... but one of the most potent smells i've experienced.

Trimming my red poison had to be done it 2 sittings (and i dont grow HUGE plants) because i needed a break from the over powering smell. I also got incredibly high whilst trimming the buds (ok .. perhaps i smoked some scissor hash) - but since then, i've always trimmed with latex gloves. I think i was getting more and more high handling the buds (could have been the smell to i guess)

Anyway - Great smoke, great plant! For me it was smelly (although nothing a good filter and good fan wont fix!

Just sharing my experience (not to necro this thread - just saw teaparty was still around! :D)

and great work Elsam - sweet looking budsssss :d5:
