Elgc300-h-ab watt adjustment

The elgc300-h-ab is only 250 watts at 115v input. On the bottom of the driver is the CP Adj. I assume this is the constant power adjustment. Can I crank this up to 300 from 250? I read someone who contacted Mars hydro and they said to do that. What do y'all think is it safe and well that work? This driver came on the original sp3000. Thank you
