What's up AFN,

I'm a noob grower looking to develop my green thumb. I have a thread asking seasoned growers for advice on how to increase the flavor and scent of plants grown in coco. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/how-to-get-better-flavor-growing-in-coco.74880/

@Arthur made a funny comment that inspired me to create this thread.

"Soil and coco... there are reasons there are soil growers and coco growers. They rarely play well. There is no best of both worlds. Once mixed, you are no longer able to treat as hydroponic, nor a true soil, you get some kind of redheaded step child that demands attention and then breaks your heart by not going to college."

We are proud to take pictures of our successes but there must be some epic fails out there that didn't make it to the big screen. Do me a favor. If you're into it, show us your worst epic fails. Maybe something good will come out of it. At the very least we'll get to laugh!

I'll start it off.

Mandarine Auto free seed. 3 grams dry. 82 day finisher! Super frosty lmfao!

Looks like my first girl. No internet for help then. Fumbled my way thru with a stolen copy of the growers bible, and maybe a high times or two. No photos from those days, I wish there were... but it wasn't any kinda legal then, and photos, nute charts etc were evidence of a crime.

If I got an oz total it was by accident, and smelled of Alaskan fish emulsion.

Good times, no, Great times.... let's do it all again!

I’m game. My first grow and in an attempt to NOT overwater like new growers are prone, I underwatered and stunted all 4 of my plants. Here is an example:

Yep, that’s coco coir which can be quite difficult to overwater with. A year later and I’ve learned much from this site. Here is a Super Lemon Haze I have growing now:

She is watered twice per day to runoff and I’d water a third time if I was more available. Time to look at automation.
