Evol's bulk mushroom attempt

I haven't tried them yet. I'll let you know how they compare to shrooms from the street when they finish.

Any new news on these Evol? just wondering how you were making out with them. peace

It's still goin... No contams yet but still really slow. I'll try to get some pics up later

My experience with BRF cakes has been 3 times slower than I'd been lead to believe...I also tried a few pins when I birthed the cakes, just the little crap that was in my verm that ended up going in the compost heap...I didn't "trip" but I got WAY more effect than I'd anticipated from 2 or 3 tiny crumbs without caps. Just started a thread in the Tranq. forum...

To answer Monkey's question, I'd say home grown shrooms won't make a reliable pain medication because your body will not experience the drug the same way day-to-day. If you took enough to feel good one day, you'd need twice that to feel good the next, and that only continues from there. I met a guy who tried to use shrooms therapeutically on a daily basis for a few weeks and he said he quickly ran out of resources because he was upping the dosage to get the same effect. When you trip, you need to give yourself a good month or two to let the experience finish...a mushroom trip is a 2 month experience for me, I feel some of the mood alteration/"togetherness with man kind" effects long after the visuals and tingly body buzz have subsided. Something goes on in the brain that needs time to reset before you can enjoy/appreciate the experience again.

They require steady and slightly high incubation temps with enough access to air to breathe. If the substrate is too moist or if they are not receiving enough oxygen then they will slow down.

Here are some pics. I'm pretty sure it was too moist. Also my temps wernt constant in the beginning.

Does it look ok?

Looking good dude

If you can see an actual faint outline/colour change of a cap on top of them then yeah, they'll be pins, though I presume it's doing the same as mine did and fooled me for a while, don't worry though, your in the final week. However, I found the mycelium started to grow in clumps like that, and then on the second flush mycelium actually growing up the mushroom stems due to a lack of oxygen and having the humidity a little too high. Once I started opening the humidity tent a few times a day letting a bit of fresh air in the problem sorted itself out.

Gotta pitch up and also say the Hawaiians I'm using aren't actually a cube and will work, not that I recommend it, day after day without any change in dose. Also, with cubes a standard dose would be 3-4g dry/35g wet, with Hawaiians a single dose is only 1.2g dry/12g wet, wouldn't even matter too much if you needed to double up lol.
And as I mentioned before, aborts (pins which never fully form into true mushrooms) are twice as potent by weight as normal mushrooms so when you get some, collect them and keep them seperate. I throw a couple in with my regular dose just to boost it a little but the session I had purely eating those took me to a fantastic place. Don't let them go to waste :)

Catch up with you soon dude

:smokebuds:

Thanks Rival. They arnt changing color at the tip yet so I guess they arnt pins. I'm really hoping these are the Penis Envy cause I have never tried PE. I wouldn't mind if they are the Golden Teacher though. I have been opening the top dome and fanning them several times a day. I mist them every other day because I think it is still too moist but don't want the top to dry out.

Actually maybe they are pins.... Here are some better pics.
