Evol's bulk mushroom attempt

That's the ticket dude, 3-4 days from now and you'll be good to go.
Straight after you've picked them, mist the top dressing, raise the humidity for a day or two and then start to drop it again, won't be long till they just keep coming and coming. I'm on my 4th real flush now and I can count 62 new pins, doesn't look like they're anywhere near giving up yet.

Enjoy the next few days dude, you'll have never seen anything grow so damn fast. Such a fun show

I have a dome lid on them. Should I keep it on or take it off?

Here is a pic so you know what I mean. Should I remove the top?

No, that's fine, leave the lid on, that'll keep the moisture in. I've just read that not all mushrooms like being 'rained' on so I'd hold off till you've at least picked a few. Mine don't seem to mind it so I guess it's just trial and error. Looking at your humidity dome though there's enough moisture to take the pins through the fruiting process so they shouldn't need any extra for a lil while. 12 hours from now they're gonna look like wee little mushrooms, really excited for you dude, growing them has been so much fun (and so damn easy)

Nothing to do now but wait (with your face pressed up against the dome lol)

What you're seeing in those pics are hyphal knots, which is what happens right before pinning starts. You should have fruit bodies in just a few days. Let CO2 build up a little to initiate pinning, and increase fresh air once they are discernibly pinning (when the knots have color on what will grow to be full-sized mushrooms). Congrats on your grow, I hope you get a large harvest!

Thanks Ratatoskr nice link. I'm just going for any amount of mushrooms this run. I just want to know I can do it then I'm going to do it on a much larger scale. If I get 2 nice shrooms and a good trip from this I'll be happy. Wouldn't mind an oz though...:thumbs:

Cool, glad I could help. I'm more familiar with mushrooms than most anything else I'm interested in, it's been a hobby of mine for a while. It's actually really easy to grow Cubes, I wish more people would try. As awesome as supplying yourself with MJ is, supplying yourself with psychedelics is even better IMO.

Thanks for the rep, and you should have quite a bit more than a couple mushrooms by the time you're done. PE isn't known for aborting like crazy (when pins just stop growing for no reason and turn black), so many of those knots will be mushrooms in short order. Just make sure to watch the humidity and supply them with plenty of fresh air when it's time and you'll be amazed by what you have on hand in a week or two.
