Il be using 4 12 quart ff ocean forest and 3 gal grow bags hopfully i can fill 10 bags

All Autos

I was wondering if you guys would recommend just using FF alone or add in some extras.

As far as starting seeds shoild i do a 50/50 mix of vermiculite and soil? And transplant after week one into FF im worried its to Hot for seedlings

Im thinking starting in a 50/50 mix FF and vermiculite. Then transplant or just make a 5x5 inch circle in middle of pot and apply 50/50 vermiculite/FF

Il have 2 lbs perlite
100% organic blood meal 12-0-0 (maybe a tsp added to mix or no
vermiculite
2.2lbs mycorrhizal
dolomoite lime

Thinking : per 3 gals
70/30 FF/Perlite
1-2 tps blood meal
4-5cups vermiculite
1cup mycorrhizal
1 tbl spn lime

How would you guys mix this up for some Autos??

Thanks alot

The only yhing I would add to ffof is some perlite.FFOFis a little hot so I wouldn't add anything else.instead of transplanting why don't you plant the seed direct into the final pot after you sprout the tap root.Youn can dig out some ffof on the center and replace it with plain peat or vermiculite.

I was worried of that problem.

If its a low PH lime will be used to adjust.

I also have 2 64 quart bags of MG Potting mix the regular yellow bag. I know its not recemmeoned but i live ina small area where we dont even have a walmart

Il be testing the ph of mg as well.

Il only be able to fill approx 5-6 3 gal bags with 48 quarts of FF

Remainders will be MG

Would you guys make any mix with the MG or just add perlite and mycorrhizal

If that MG soil contains slow release nutrients I would strongly suggest you not use it. You'll just be opening yourself up for a new set of problems. I also wouldn't advise adding vermiculite to your mix unless you are running HPS lights. Under lower heat lights such as LEDs, CFLs and T5s, the soil will stay too wet for too long. If you want to cut the FFOF so it isn't so hot I would suggest just using peat moss and perlite. Or check around and see if you can find some Bonnie Professional Potting Soil. That would work well mixed with the FFOF. Check Lowes and Ace Hardware.

Thanks for the help guys.

So the FF il test run off after watering with 6.5 water.
If low il add dolomite lime. If its good il add a half cup mycorrhizal and about 30% perlite

As for the MG i dont want to use it but dont have much of a choice. Not buying soil offline again and dealing with shipping. And living in the middle of no where dosent help we have a lowes thats about it and they carry nothing but crap soil.

Hopfully il only have to use the MG in only one or two grow bags
