Lighting Fill in lighting

Just wondering who's using fill in lights and what if any difference is noted.
I'm currently running 3 cobs and 1 600w (125 draw) led that I mostly use as a side light.
After 3 grows I noticed the plant closest to the led had the thickest, firmest nuggs.
The cobs are great but they get by with a little help from their friends.

I am guessing your 125w is a blurple. If that is so, my deduction is that the added reds that the blurple provides are giving you the fuller buds. White cobs generally lacks the 660nm and even more so the 730nm. These two spectrum combined gives us the Emerson effect which is supposed to increase rate photosynthesis and therefore fuller larger flowers. For photos, it can shorten sleep time and subsequently flower time. These are all what I read and am applying to my grows. Not a pro or expert. Just giving my 2 cents.

So you can add more reds and see if it replicates the same results as your side light?

My next grow will incorporate 2-600w led (125 draw each) for side lites and 2 autocobs overhead.
Don't know about blurples but if they do what they have been, I lovem....
