Indoor FİRST DWC GROW "Think Dİfferent" need help all the way through...

hey,

thanks tank, i already saw that thread before. :D

i read that temp. issues causes high ppm and Ph, make plant sweating. Is it true. Because i saw water on some leaves which is covered by big fan leaves. Is that sweat??

Hi liquid ... i am also a noob ! ,but can say RES temps will affect ppm & ph ,but 19oC is good ... 16-24 is the range & your in the middle of that:booya: ... again im guessing & others will know more but i recon she looks hungry (seymour said mine did & they had similar yellowing going on) ... typically in DWC you start around ec0.8 but it depends on your background water ? . did you say its out the tap at ec0.8 ??? thats HIGH bud .... less room for proper nutes & maybe thats why she looks hungry ??? ... think i was at ec1.2 maybe more on week 4 ...thats 600ppm depending what meter you have .. I could be wrong though ,but 300 ppm is like ec0.6 on the 0.5ec scale & which also seems low for week 4 ... hopfully a pro will look in !

on blowing that pic up the yellowing could just be the light ???. She looks pretty good mate ... no meters ? :clap:fair play !

Had a look at my bluelab stick and 600ppm (usa) is 1.2ec,I'd say up it to 1.6 (800ppm) and see how she goes as yellowing is usually a sign of nitrogen defeciency,so give her more food, keep the additives the same but up your base food ie if using canna,up the a&b but keep the silicone, calmag and rhizo the same, just do little adjustments at a time as things can go bad quickly but take longer to fix, hope this helps

When i changed my res 2 days ago PPM was 350.These 2 days added 2 L fresh water to res. and now PPM is 360. PH always raising to 6.2 - 6.4 from 5.8 and i down it with GH ph down(2 times during the day). It seems to me she is not eating too much but there is no negative sign or stress on plant, instead of that yellowing. That is because of me, i dropped water from res. to the top of the plant, when that leaf was a baby.

So Should i try that much hard PPM now at day 30.

In DWC there is "the sweet spot" ! bit like a girl, it's hard to find but if you do she will love you for it ...In DWC the sweet spot is when she is feeding & drinking at the same rate ... so after a few days IF you are in that zone then the water levels will have dropped but the EC & PH will be stable .... it's a fine balance though ! . Your meters tell you if shes there or not ... ie- if you add to much feed to her res ,she will drink the water faster than eat the food in it, ..so the EC will rise(making it stronger) .If you make a res too weak ,she will eat the food faster than drink the water & the EC will drop(making res weaker still) .... this is how you tell if she wants more/less nutes or is happy (sweet spot!) . . In turn if EC rises then the PH will drop & vice versa ... Thats why it's important to find the sweet spot ,if you dont you will always be adjusting the EC & PH & the plant will suffer .

I would make a fresh res .... up the ppm say 150 from where you are now & monitor the ec/ppm & ph to see what happens . You should not get ppm & ph rising or falling together ,if 1 goes up the other goes down or you may have a light leak/slime ect ?.

So ...& i quote Seymore buds here:grat:"if ppm drops & ph rises , res is to weak (add feed) If ppm rise & ph drops , to strong (top off with plain phed water)... If ppm & ph stay stable = sweet spot(happy plants) :peace:

i realized that my res. temp is high at 23.5 C / 74.3 F. so now i am freezing some bottle but i should find a better solution. My cupboard temp is 26 C / 78.8 F so its ok for plant but roots are locking their selves i think. they are not eating too much, sweating and not growing big enough when i compare.I removed some water and add fresh phed water to res. and PPM is down to 316 from 380.

That's way too high at 74F, are you running nutrients / solution to combat root rot / algae? With temps like that, it's only a matter of time before they get ya.. I've only done DWC once, but I know one of the most vocalized things in DWC is reservoir temps..

no, don't have anything about these... What you prefer, company?name? There is no color change on roots, not completely white but there is no brown spots either.
