New Grower first dwc grow.

hey everybody im starting my first dwc grow and to be honest i wish i found this site 2 weeks ago but oh well. i need any advice i can get. im in a 3'x2'x5' mylar tent,300w stupid ebay led but got a hydrogrow 21x pro on the way, 2 5gal bucket system, for some reason the guy sold me 10" baskets. beans are in 4" r/w. lights 12" away no heat issue at all cool 65 to 70 always. advance nutes ph perfect sensi grow and bloom. hobbiest and expert bundles. beans pooped out of r/w 3/9/13 on 3/16/13 gave 1ml/1l grow and bloom and 2ml/1l b52 didnt have a ppm meter or ph yet just got those two days ago.did res change and letf it at ph 5.7 ppm at 300. and heres where im at. my ladies dont look right at all to me kinda sad got more beans but hate to hurt the pretty girls. any help would greatly appreciated. thank you

to me it kinda looks like there is not enough oxygen for the roots to take up and nutes, or you have a lock out probably from PH or incorrect nutrients.
also i side note an oscillating fan will improve the structural integrity of the plant and promote a better yield.
 
yeah i forgot to mention that i do have one also each bucket has a 6" air stone. should i add more air?

hmmm...water is made of oxygen...i do not think thats the case...nor does it affect nute up take:toke:

it has been my experience that led's can cause calmg def...foliar spray them w/ some...
 
also when do a call day #1? when i see something come up or when the leaves appear?
 
your right lack of oxygen would not lock out the nutes it would just lock out the plants life.
oxygen to the roots does effect the plants many ways the more the better when under water.
This is what we use on my other forum to help figure out peoples problem

Soil Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones?
2. How old are your plants?
3. How tall are your plants?
4. What size containers are they planted in?
5. What is your soil mix?
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use and how much you give per watering?
7. What is the pH of your water?
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio?
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")
11. How close are your lights to the plants?
12. What size is your grow space in square feet?
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?
14. What is the pH of the soil?
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?
16. How much experience do you have growing?

Hydro Growers:
1. Are you growing from seed or clones?

7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water?

10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check?
11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check?
12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?

actually the day you put them in the ground...but most folks go by when they see green...
 
hey thank you yes air is very important. my ladies are about 2"tall at most. from seed saw movement at top of r/w on 3/9/13 im using a 5gal dwc bucket 10"pot next time im using 6"
ph is pretty stable 5.7 never seen in at 6.0 was at 5.5 for a cpl days.im using just advance nutes hobby+expert bundle.tap water at the moment (all i can do right now)let it sit a day before using. tap water ppm is 105-110 the temp stays about 65-68. no foliar spray yet. 300w led and a 21x pro x2 led in two weeks. im in a 3x2x5 tent and i can grow anything in dirt just wanted to try dwc
