New Grower First Grow DWC LED - Think Different Any Advice?

My think differents weren't very calmag hungry early on. Definately need to have the stuff ready though. And preventative light dosing isnt going to hurt

Here we go guys a quick update
there seems to be some yellow spots appearing on the leaves
there was a huge ph spike it went up to 6.9
growth seems to have slowed down
so this morning I have dumped the res once again gave everything a good clean wiped everything
put in fresh water ppm0070 ph 7 15ltrs
added 2ml dutch masters zone not going to use h202 anymore
CANNA RHIZOTONIC 25ml this spiked my ph to 10.2
CANNA Aqua Vega A&B 20ml total 10ml each this brought the ph back down to 7
used some ph down to get it to 5.5
total ppm0380
i am going to keep a close eye on this and see what happens
what shall I do about the spots any idea's

Seems to be eating

Just a quick update so in 24 hours
the tank went from 5.5ph to 5.8
the ppm has gone from 0380 to 0310
but she is not showing too much signs of growth will just let her be for now and check back in the morning
i think the led's I brought for the grow just are not cutting it not going to lie but was trying my luck on a budget and I think this might be affecting it I have 2 panels supposed to be 300 watt so an average draw of about 186 but I don't think that's even the case looking at getting Grownorthern Ms0006 light for her as seen good results with these

Your riding the edge of trouble holding your ph at 5.5. You should shoot for 5.7-5.9. At 5.5 and lower, acid loving fungi can grow. I kept my res between 5.7 and about 6.2 thru the whole grow. if my numbers fell between that range It was good. and I had zero issues through out my grow.

Well she is at 5.8 now so hopefully she will stay there I will keep that into consideration I've always been told ph @5.5

High buddy, i have done one successful DWC grow but i used tnc mycorrhydro beneficial bacteria to keep my root zone in order... i also used advanced nutrients voodoo juice and sensyzyme.... from what i understand if you use h202 then you need to add it to the res every couple of days as it depletes after a certain amount of time... as i said though i prefer the beneficial bacteria route myself, and this stuff stains your roots a brown color as do some feeds.... the main issue is that the bennies clog airstones, at least the tnc ones do and this can cause lack of dissolved oxygen in the rootzone, so make sure you clean your airstones regular and you will be fine i had temps in the buckets up to 26c and still hit over 1gpw, every time that i get an infection in the roots the bennies kicked its arse into next week.. happy days..

but either use one or the other, you cant use bennies and h202 at the same time... i use bennies in every grow now, they are the dogs bollox mate and i would not grow without them... i now use the full advanced nutrients range of beneficial bacteria and this is how i use it with autos..

voodoo juice from the start, and when i pot up the seedling in its cube i put about 5ml piranha in the hole and a bit over the roots coming out of the cube...
carry on with the voodoo juice and when you see pistils start adding piranha and tarantula along with the voodoo for another 2 weeks, then stop them three and just use sensizyme for the rest of the grow... i use bud candy as a carb source to feed the bennies and this method is working very well for me at the moment...

also forgot to add... you dont need calmag if you let your ph drift.... its all in the feed so just make sure you let your ph drift through the whole range before resetting it... what i do is have the plants on a slightly lower EC than normal and set the ph at 5.5, then as the plants feed the ph drifts up and when it gets to 6.1/6.2 i reset it back to 5.5 that way it gets what it needs as all the nutrients have been made available, you will also notice you use less feed this way....

If your nutes are dropping, you are underfeeding, if they are increasing then your over feeding. My td are about 3 - 4 weeks old and happy with an ec between 1100 and 1400, ec is a lot more useful measurement as ppm varies between meter manufacturers.

I was thinking maybe I could feed her a little more but was not to sure about it all my meter reads is in cf or ppm but I have a good chart to compair with so I can match the ec with my ppm reading
I think ill up it too about 500 - 700 ppm and see how she takes to that

How would be the best way to clean the air stones ?..

it it seems I can use ms reading as ec on this chart is that correct ??
