You might be right! That particular plant HAD to be the fast starter. And she picked it from the taproot stage. I keep getting chuckles about it. I truly hope it's the best plant in the garden and @NewThumb gets the pretty colors she hopes for. If I have to show her the ice cube trick to get it...You will have to share your techniques with @Yeatster when you're done. Looks like he could learn a thing or two lol

Read some stuff, in my research stage. I recall, putting a couple ice cubes on top soil and feed normally. Makes sense to me, cooler roots, cooler fruits.Ice cube trick? I'm growing the coloured ones later. I need to know this!
