That's what you want to see now, the explosive veg growth. Keep them on veg nutes till that slows and stops.

Thanks Muddy, is there a point where I should step into bloom nutes, say transition from 100% veg nutes to 75%/25%, 50/50, 0/100? Or just do veg only until I see growth slow and switch over completely?

Some do a slow transition but I don't. When the vertical growth stops I just make the switch from one to the other.

Just fed tonight at 75% @5.8 pH again. Checked the pH of my runoff and was getting between 6.8-7. Is this an acceptable range or might something be off? Everything looked healthy and no obvious deficiencies when I was doing a little LST maintenance

Hey pyrophobe, those MI5 girls look great! I just finished up a grow of MI5 with the same light and can tell you you're gonna love the result. Just make sure not to bunch them up too much with the lst, that blackstar is going to give you thick bud growth and you want air to be able to circulate through. My blackstar caused thick buds all the way down to within an inch of the soil. Had a tiny bit of mold down there, but it didn't spread and was removed. + a little rep for such healthy girls!

That's a bit high on the run off, should be around 6.3 - 6.5. Sounds like your soil pH is a bit too high.

beasts of mi5 in big buckets,i like!:thumbs: when runoff ph is high and he have feed ph 5,8, should he start feed at ph 5,6 so runoff ph lowers muddy? Or will a good flush at ph 5,8 be the thing to do until run off stabilize at 5,8? a bit confusing thing this soil ph. sorry for hijack pyrophobe

Just to clarify, I'm not running soil, but a mix of coco/perlite that's being fed hydro feeds "hempy buckets". Before my next feed I think I'm either going to flush or do a feed&flush.

And yeah Mr Piggy I've had to LST my new tops off to the sides to keep stuff spread out. These things are getting really bushy already
