New Grower First Grow - Northern Light Blue

Couldn't resist another close up... she looks pretty in pink :hump:

Day 46

Quick update, fed her on Tues at 3/4 strength but still seem to be getting more yellowing leaves, so I did a flush last night with pH 6.5 water to see if that helps. I ordered a new pH meter so next week I should be able to figure out what my soil pH is, going to start checking the pH of my nutrient feeds now too even tho I'm using the pH Perfect ones.

Here's a pic from today showing the whole plant with the yellow leaves at the bottom... it is at least progressing fairly slowly so I don't think it's anything major.

I think my girl has pretty much finished stretching now too, almost 27". I'm quite happy with the size and structure of this plant, lots of nice side branching that looks like they will have some good size buds.

I've been running my LED at around 4" from the top of the plant for the last week or so and it seems ok at this distance, I think my LED has 120deg optics so the light is not too intense.
Pic of main cola still filling in nicely despite the issues.

She looks just great, with some really good looking bud sites. The color looks good and only the bottom leaves seem effected, maybe the bloom nutes with some nitrogen will help since the flush.

Thanks for the comments man :smokebuds: Yea I will be feeding again at 3/4 strength tomorrow probably and I will be checking the pH this time to see if the pH perfect nutrients are actually working.

Day 50!

IMG_0403.jpg

So I was hoping this grow would finish up in 9-10 weeks but I'm thinking it's going to take more like 11-12 weeks now (From what I've seen the NL strains seem to go a bit longer).

don't ya hate that? The last couple of weeks take so long..... as do the first couple of weeks...

Ok picture update time... Day 53. The buds have really started to get frosty over the last week. She also still had a bit more growth this week, at a solid 28" now. "Toker Grin"

Here are a few pics of the main cola.

The buds on the side branches are really getting fat as well, I counted around 14 full side branches. At the start of my grow I was hoping to get an oz per plant but I think this one might give up more like 2+ if it goes another 4 weeks or so... that would make up for the SDH I had to pull.
Here are some of the side buds.

And here's full pic of the plant. As you can see the yellowing had started to get to some of the upper leaves now. I haven't received my pH meter yet so still not sure if it's pH problems or what. I think next watering I'll do another flush, I only did like 4L before so I'll try a bigger flush next time.

That girl looks like she wants to get fat. You might want to remove the yellow leaves they won't be coming back and they don't have anything to give, lets more light into the interior buds. I don't think you have enough time to flush and fatten buds. If the soil ph was way off more leaves would be going yellow, IMO, so some bloom nutes or cal/mag should help bud development. If you can keep the buds going for another week those hairs should start turning orange. During this time the girls seem to love carbs but with LED's cal/mag is an issue, every other feeding is cal/mag for me and the results have been good so far.

Hey thanks for your input VG. I've been removing about a dozen leaves a week once they become fully yellow. I guess I'll hold off on the big flush then until the final 2 weeks if you think that would be better. Also I've been adding cal/mag to every watering/feeding since week 2 since I'm using RO water plus the LED's (currently adding it @ 2ml/L for the last several feedings)

You are doing great and I think your harvest will be better than you expect.
