Day 71 Blue Day 64 SR

Into flush about 4 days. Plants are actually looking better, healthier....hmmm. There are lots of new green leaves in the lower buds, nice healthy looking. Maybe that's how it is supposed to be. I am posting pictures, will probably harvest in 5 days. I looked at the trichomes under the microscoper more ambers showing up. I think its going to be a pretty good harvest timing wise. If anyone knows anything about why I'm getting the new green leaves on the lower plant please let me know, I'm curious about it and can't find the information. I'm getting excited about my upcoming first harvest.

Hey man, looking real nice! Get them scissors sharpened up, I'd chop her any day now if you're seeing amber.. I like a little more rush so I chop at 100% cloudy and hope they mature a little during the dry/cure process. Congrats homie, whatcha got planned next?

Harvest this week!!! 3 days away!

:grat:Thanks for the +rep points folks! I am humbly grateful for the wonderful folks old and new alike that have helped me through this grow. There are hundreds of sites for growing weed that you can land in and learn the trade. But those of us landing here are just lucky I guess. Just of group of people growing together, sharing the highs and lows of the grow. I love it here. If I were giving an acceptance speech...I kind of am...accepting my points. Many thanks to Chester, AK-Feesh, Trapper, Eyes on fire...you've been with me most of my grow and I would like to add I would not be where I am today without my guide Chester. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and shared this with me. One of the most fun things I've ever done. I won't start a new grow until September, I'm still uncertain if I'll buy a new strain or maybe grow one short rider and spend some dedicated time with her. Shorty got the short end of the stick on this grow being a week younger and having to keep up.
"AFN smoke out"

Just vaped a bowl of my broken bud that has been bag dryed 3 days, jarred with boveda 62 for 2. That single bud in a jar with boveda has been sitting at 62 for a whole day already, perfect moisture throughout. Even though its still grassy, I hope my actual dry and cure will improve it. I do like this Blue mystic. I would call it a behind the eyes kind of stone. I vaped one magic flight box bowl. It is nice. If it is all this good, I'm happier than the bag weed - I do expect a proper dry and cure will only increase the buzz and taste of the smoke.

I'm planning to fast cure a few buds for immediate use. Then I will bag to dry 7 days- Humidity is 65% in the drying area. Lastly into jars with boveda 62. My first cut is scheduled for probably Wednesday night this week for the 2 blue mystics. I'm going to take a small bud off of the short rider tonight and do a quick dry to test the effects tomorrow night. I can probably let it go another week...not sure what call I will make in the end. Blue Mystic 1, Harvested day 73

Well I decided to start the harvest last night! Harvested one blue mystic. I'm glad I decided to do one at a time - it takes quite a bit of time. I took some pics, not enough - I got too tired! Anyway, 104 gram wet weight, 25 grams small stuff the rest large buds. I did a medium tight trim as you can see in the picture. This one didn't really have a main cola, it got burned early and I snipped it out.

I'm expecting close to a zip out of this one plant dry weight which I am thrilled about considering I only used 2 125W cfl's. Tonight BM#2 will come down. Should get about the same out of this one. I expect less from the Short rider which I will probably let go another 7 days. Of couse I also have a nice little ball of scissor hash!!!

Congrats on first snippin'! Looks great and I imagine, it's going to taste great too You can taste the "rewarding experience" and "sense of accomplishment" in it as well...

:dance2: Truly an impressive first run ... I would stick my hygrometer inside that closed bag and when it drops below 65% in the bag it's time to jar it .... once jarred check the rh after 6-12 hrs and remove if above 62-65% ... once you do it a time or two you'll be a pro ... Folks have been talking about using Boveda 62% for the cure but really the Boveda Pack is to keep things fresh after the cure ... I don't place a Boveda in the jar until I've seen 60-62% for about a week ... really shouldn't get deployed until burping is down to a couple hours once a week or less ... just keep your weed below 72% and above 55% and the cure will take care of itself ... Congratulations !!

Yeah, the Bovedas have been described to me as "fine-tuning and maintenance" once you're close to 62% (or slightly over-dry, to bring them back up)

Blue mystic 2, harvested day 74

Harvested number 2 tonight! 127 grams wet! I am very happy with this grow, so much better than I expected. Buds are in the bag, jars ready, hygrometer (Calibur 3) ready, boveda 62 ready! I was looking at the short rider tonight and she is ready to go, I'll take her down tomorrow night. 3 plants and I'm expecting about 3 zips from the 3 plants! Honestly I've never had that much weed before. Not sure what to do with it LOL...Enjoy the pics!
