First time grower in PA. Things have gotten off to a pretty solid start. Using a 2x2 marshydro with a ts600. Some ff hf soil and an organic super soil mixture. Got a humidifier in the middle and an irrigation system set up. I added 2 clamp on lights for supplemental lighting for when theyre bigger. Started out with purple haze, casey Jones, and 2 northern light af seeds. Now comes the hard part.. patiently waiting. Here is final set up. What do yall think?

Are you pushing air into the carbon filter?

So I have the hose at the top of the tent and the fan is sucking the air out and pushing it through the filter. Fan and filter both outside tent. Not exactly ideal but this gives me extra room at the top for growth. This tent is only 5 ft tall. I have a small clamp fan inside to promote air flow within the tent. Plan on getting 1 or 2 more.

Carbon filters work equally well pushing or pulling. I have used them both ways over the years with no difference in performance or longevity!

Been my understanding that they are designed to be drawn through hence the use of the pre filter socks that are usually supplied. But to each his own. Stoner tech is all about using things in unintended ways to suit our needs..

You can put thin filter material over extractor intake to keep junk out. Something breathable. Then install tube over filter material and clamp in place.

Welcome to AFN, the best place for info, help and camaraderie!

I would make the flex ducting as short as possible and as taught as possible. If you have it outside the tent I would put the fan and filter on top of the tent.

Thanks for all the welcomes and advice. It's been 2 weeks now and the babies are going strong. I might just be paranoid but I am a little concerned about the slight discoloration in the leaves of the first to pics. I did just realize my light has been on 24 hrs this whole time. And problems with my irrigation probably caused slight over watering. But those have been fixed. Other wise I'd say all looks good.
