hello AFN! i started my first indoor grow a few days back with 3 dinafem Fruit hoping to get some nice quality smoke for this time of year down here in south america. my kit basically consists of a 70cm x 70cm and 100cm tall indoor with 3 cfls in total 150w.....i have the plants in a cilindrical pots that measure aprox 21cm height and 25cm diameter...the soil is a mix of perlite with other ingrediants N P K it's called a power mix....well and pretty much that's it. two of the plants have 15 days since they popped out of soil and the other has around 10 days.
hoping to have a succesfull grow and wanting to participate in this forum!

cheers!:hot::pimp:

So far they are looking real good.You might want to add a little more soil to the pot when they get a little bigger so the roots have more grow room.:smoke::2cents:

thanks namvet25 for the tip, i'll put some more soil for my little ones!:dance:

i have quick question about the current lights i'm using..... dunno if it's good enough cous otherwise i have a 150w sodium light which is for flower....should i wait until they start to show the preflowers then change the light or directly putting the soduim one now?

cheers! and thanx for the replies!:booya:

Welcome to AFN and the New Growers forum. Looks like you're off to a fine start. You might want to think about adding a few more of those lights, I think they would benefit greatly, especially when they start to flower. Also, do you have a pH meter? If not, I would strongly suggest you invest in a good digital one. Should you run into any issues one of the first things we'll want to know to help will be the pH of your soil.

thanks muddy very excited about this grow!:smoke:

i'll probalble go this weekend looking for the ph meter and also i have a sodium light of 150w do you think this would be enough for my babies to have a decent amount of flowers????

thanx a bunch guys!! cheers!:toke:

I can safely say from experience on my 1st go that once I switched from bare-minimum to 'holy damn that's bright', the plants just rocketed. with the autos you've got the same life clock whether they're runting out under 3k lumen or frying up big and strong under much more - so think about supplemental lighting now. you'll be fine with what you've got for another week or two while the height is low, but once the canopy really starts to form, you'll want the extra light.

hey chuckUfarley!! yeah i was thinking the same that's why i'm going to switch the lights to a 150w hps hopefully that will give the girls all the light they need, keeping in mind that i really want to make a cheap but quality garden. here are some new pìcs of ze babies on day 18 looking good so far.:D

should they be a darker shade of green or are they alright?:confused:

cheers!

They look fine, just as they should for their age.
