Grow Mediums Floating autovalve?

No, the weight does not "hold the valve down." Obviously, don't weigh down the hinged moving part, which will keep your valve open. The weight goes on the base, anchoring the base on the same prong that doesn't hold it. The base needs to be anchored (can't float)/sitting in the bottom of the water tray, with the hinged part floating.

I understood what you meant. I took a piece of cork and cut to fit atop the non moving part so the lid pressed it down against the tray.

Thank you for the tip.

Emailed the shop. Going to swap trays. So by this time next week, there will be beans in dixies, and this time in two weeks, we shall have beans in pots with tabs.....

Yea, there was something wrong there. I practically have to pry mine off the retaining clip when I have to take them out.

The entire package sat outside our house in direct sun two days. We were at amusement park when ups arrived. They were cooked....lol

Company sent them priority, got them friday!

Weighting the valves is not a good Idea IMO.

After looking at these things more close, i agree its not the best choice. I guess that is why they sell the valves seperate, but with a blue cover for their ezgo kit, to prevent float aways.
