Will seedlings burn/stunt growth If planted straight from seed into ocean forest?

No. I have no issues with this at all. You can add a little more pearlite to it, recommended at about 30% more. Other than that, no nutes for the 1st three weeks of veg.

From what ive experienced..ABSOLOUTELY YES! I cant speak for the other guy (who posted above) , but me specifically...if your not experimenting and looking for yield..i would not do that! and this is due to my test results and burning seedlings in that medium (its too hot for seedlings) but who would you listen to? a guy with 0 rep points as myself or a guy with 231 rep points..!! ;) if I was you I would verify this information before proceeding and talk to ppl who have completed grows and logs instead of asking for advice from ppl who just comment on other ppls grow logs

to my understanding..Fox Farm OF has nutes up to 4-6 weeks where did you get 3 weeks from? just curious..Thats a big difference! Did you verify that information (I know you didn't)? and if not how did you come up with that conclusion? you have grow logs? plz if you do, send me a link! I probally can learn a thing or two from you..lol eventhough I highly doubt that!

Regardless of what I have and don't have, I've grown directly in FFOF a few times with no burn. The soil has enough nutes in the soil for a good three weeks alone. After those 3 weeks I start with lite feelings and still don't get burn. Ymmv.

I'll continue to go directly in FFOF and if anything changes I'll definitely post it up.

Well they are on their 3rd day in the ffof and doing great so far. What can I do now that they're already planted to keep them from burning.

Leave them alone and enjoy the show. Water when they get dry, and that's it. Not much else to do right now.

First off we can all learn things from each other, wether it's what to do or not to do so let's keep an open mind and spread the positive AFN vibe.

I will say this. FFOF soil has had a history of being too hot for SOME seedlings. Some strains can handle the hot stuff at a young age and love it while others tend to suffer until they get established. My reccomendations is to watch folks that ypu see using this medium live in their documented journals and follow their lead. The guys I see using it with success usually do not run in FFOF alone they have a blend to use the pre feted soil to their advantage at the same time taking the edge off it and using a feed svhedule layer when the plants are established.

I can tell you most of the guys I see in trouble with their plants have used pre fertilized soils and later fed and it gets our of whack. I always reccomend to the new guys to find a soil with little to no nutrients and start a proven feed schedule arpund day 10. The soil with no nutes allows you to conto your feedings and know exactky what they are getting and exactky what levels they are getting it at. This will help to diagnose problems when problems arise in the future.

I hope this info helps p.m me anytime I'll do anything I can to help. Best of luck with your grow bud
