Do you recommend topping the rez off (between feedings) with plain water (with cal mag) or with full strength nute solution (basically mixing another reservoir)?
Between the heat and the amount they're drinking I was down over a gallon this afternoon.

I just went ahead and topped them off with water. They where getting pretty low and I felt like I didn't have alot of time, but thought I'd go for it and see if Derek was around.

Your plant looks amazing, by the way
Probably your best bet, i would use just plain water with a touch of cal/mag. I think that it would be hard to match the PPM of the current res given all the factors. environmental, i.e. temp changes, amount the plant has consumed, temp of the res changes all kinds of changes.
When you mix the water in let it settle and then check your pH just to make sure you dont throw things off. Great grow btw

Saw you asking questions and head a read through your thread. Glad you got the brown root problem solved! If you stay with h2o2 @ 30% food grade, you want 1-2 mil per gallon. A better option IMO is sm90 has many other uses in the groom.
So on topping up the res. You should compare your ec/TDs and pH at the beginning and when she is low.
Ideally as your water level went down your total dissolved solids would go down and your pH would rise just slightly. This would mean your plant was happily drinking and using nutrients at about the same rate.
You can find many other conditions the worst would be rising total dissolved solids and falling pH.
Once you determine how your plants are drinking you can decide whether to top up the res at mid-term how to top it up or if you should just change it out.
If you're not at about the ideal nutrient mix you probably have too many nutrients. So you will experience the falling pH and rising told dissolved solids. In that case I would change out the entire res and reduce the TDs/ec.
