New Grower G'Day from OZ. 1st time grower here going to use the Auto-Pot Hydro System

Here's AGP2 popping her head up. Not going to water for a week or more, maybe 2 weeks. Or should I be giving her a shot glass of filtered water every few days? MUST.......NOT.......OVER.......WATER.......

I'm currently running the airdome right now.

Here's the 60 Day Wonder. Is she showing MG def or Cal/Mag def or is iit sill the same PH issue that I haven't rectified yet? The 60DW is week 3, day 4. I'm only foliage feeding with weak seasol in a 1 liter pressure spray bottle. Should I put a few drops of nute A + B in the sprayer and feed nutes that way until I get my PH pen and turn on the autopots? I think I'll put in 10L of properly PH'd water with 2.5ml of grow nutes in the Res and not fill the full 47L.12 gallons of water in the rez. Too much water for only 1 plant right now..

That might last 2 or 3 weeks when i'll switch to bloom nutes at week 6.

What condition do you think this 60dw is in at week 3, almost week 4? Severely underdeveloped/stunted?

Baby AGP #2 has hatched! It's like i'm a proud papa all over again.
I'm just going to hold out on watering for a week and give her a tiny spritz of diluted seasol every day. PH of the soil is 5.7 or 5.8 according to the soil PH meter.

Congratulations! A father all over again.
Everything looking great so far, great to see shes sprouted.

Just a tiny word of caution, Sealsol Powerfeed/Seasol isn't need for the seedling at the moment. The seedling has all the needed vital nutrients in its Cotyledons for the first 2-3 weeks. All you have to do is keep the ph levels stable so the plant can absorb and process these nutrients normally. I'd recommend watering with just normal water not diluted with any fertilizers, regardless of whether they are organic. You really don't want to stunt a seedling this early.

Other than yellow she doesn't look too bad. I know you'll get the yellow worked out. My first suffered, had a good bit of yellow as well and she looks OK now.

What'd you do to sort out your yellow, wwwillie?

We get pretty hot conditions in AU at the moment and for me, not watering for a week can kill a plant. Water like (roughly) every 4 days or so for a seedling that size. Remember no added nutrients for the seedling.

Yellowing normally (keyword: normally) indicates a Nitrogen deficiency. Can be caused because the plant isn't getting enough Nitrogen (you aren't giving her enough nutrients) or it could be a pH-related issue where the ph is not within the optimal range for nitrogen to be taken up by the plant and thus locking out the plants ability to take in Nitrogen causing the yellowing. Both are easily fixable.

The 60DW looks a bit small but it's chugging along nicely and is pretty average for its size. Should see a growth spurt soon.

I'm in VIC where it's been real cool. 20's on average during the day, a day or two we'll get 29 or 30 then back down to the 20's. I got that GN MS0006 on the way, the girls are gonna be lovin it!

I think I made a big mistake by flushing my pre-buffered coco, I was reading a thread in the hydro forum and the OP said to never wash prebuffered coco. I started out my 2nd AGP by flushing the coco/perlite mix. Was that a bad move?

Soil PH meter says the medium is 6.6 in places so I flushed again (with the new seedling 2 days old) with 3 liters (in a 15L container) PH 5.6 water. PH around the pot is 6.6 in places, 6.2 in other places closer to the seedling.

Should I just leave it as is? Did I just make the cardinal sin of over watering? I have an airdome running at the bottom of the pot so it should dry out fast but I think I made a hasty move in flushing so early. PH in both pots are over 6, almost 7 in some places.

Ok, time to leave things alone and let mother nature take it's course. Either I screwed up again or things will sort themselves out.

Water PH. I found that the laundry sink PH is 6.4 which is what I've been using but the outside spout water is 5.6 PH so I'll be using the outside spout PH. I'm using a soil PH meter right now until I get my pen, which I'm still waiting on.

I'm not sure whether a pH of 6.6 is okay for a Cannabis plant. Should aim for 5.6 - 5.8 at best.

And even if you overwatered, nature will fix it itself.

Sounds pretty good so far. I cannot say what pH is right for you. I am in soil, I pH my water to 5.8 as I was told to do by the manufacturer of the nutrient line I am using. Since I use at least one of their products every time it is always going in at that number for veging. Interestingly the runoff is always pH 6.0. I have heard that this is a bit low generally.
That's what I have so far, but as new as I am don't take what I say as authoritative!
