I've been reading up on the forum for a while and thought I'd register to say g'day, introduce myself, the usual :) Having never really grown before (but used to smoke a lot... then life got busy and having my brain functioning for work became much more important) but don't mind the occasional and some of the family is having trouble with supply - ok the mother in law - so I didn't need any more motivation. :d5:

I usually don't like doing things by halves so have tried to start things off on the right foot. Currently have a girl scout cookies and choc-orange autos germinating in jiffys, they have similar life cycles so they should be fine to grow together. Anyways, hi to you all, thanks for the info I've read already and look forward to another little side hobby.

Here's the rough summary of what I'm running -

3x3x6ft tent
QB288 quantum board 3000k
4" fan (85 / 110cfm) + carbon filter
2 x Nutrifield 28L DWC pots w/clay balls
AN Sensi bloom, grow, voodoo juice and calmag
Water is coming from a tank which is around ph 6.6 and 17ppm
Additional clip on fan

Temps can get up to 35c+ (95f) where I'm growing so I picked up a water chiller for ten bucks and ripped the guts out of it. Setting up a closed loop system with a slow 4L/min pump, digital thermo relay, insulating the pots with foil bubble wrap and have head insulated hose coming. Hopefully this will be enough to get them down, total volume around 50-60L so time will tell! Due to size of the tent, location and the price of electricity in Aus I won't be growing with aircon anytime soon.

I think that's about it, happy for any questions or suggestions if you think of anything!
Cheers

Howdy mate , Welcome to AFN . A small aircon is worth its weight in gold , puts about $250 for a grow , By having it you will get those extra 28 grams and a lot more , I am in the tropics and can not grow with out it and any advice you need the lads here will help you .
