Azamax is wonderful and gets them every time. It also gets everything else. I live in a dog friendly apartment complex so I'm more prone to pests(although aside from gnats I've been lucky) so I treat with azamax as a preventative measure. It's safe and doesn't alter the taste of my buds and you can use it right up to harvest. I do soil drenches once every other week and I have a happy garden! Plus it's all natural Good luck!

I use azamax and, I agree, it is an excellent product. But, for those who haven't used it before, it should be understood that it is more designed to be used for prevention, or at least on a systematic regimen. It is not designed to kill on contact but to disrupt the reproductive process of the pests as well as make the plant leass appealing to them.

im using air pots, will the sand trick still work? or will the gnats be able to get in the soil via the holes in the side of pot?

I prefer Bayer adv with imidocloprid for 6 legged pests.
It's the silver bullet.

Even stops the huge grasshopper hordes outdoors here.
They will kill my plants no more.

Its systemic and Made with synthetic nicotine.
Nerve toxin to bugs, but very safe for animals and people.
Get it from walmarts garden section....

Also I see folks blaming the soil company's. for gnats.
This is wrong IMO.
I got em once an went back to the store an investigated.
All their soil on the shelfs had dead fungus gnats lying around them.

Check around In between the bags an behind them befor buying soil....

well just give an update all is well used sticky traps and stand and the gant off and the home made trap and all is well still see the od fly but thats it all is well
