Mephisto Genetics Gold Glue, Forgotten Strawberries, Orange Diesel

I bet that plant absolutely REEKS if not it will soon. I grew one and didn’t bother running my carbon filter. You could smell the one plant from outside my house with the windows all shut and the smell was sticking to everything. Girlfriend makes me run the filter now lol.

I have 9 plants in the tent in flower now and 6 different strains so its a mixed bag for smell. I pick up a a spicy pepper smell overall. But in close the OD's are definitely stinkers. Industrial cleaner pine sol like.

I'm never sure how much to defol my plants and I lean more to removing less so I don't slow them down. But that can be risky depending on the situation. Thinking more about rot and mold. The OD's are very bushy and the buds could be big.... meaning the need for lots of circulation. I took them out of the tent for a trim on the inside of the plant around all the space between colas. Once out of the tent, the visual perspective sure changes even with the pictures. So decided to capture one.

This plant is 32 inches tall. Its sitting on a 5 gallon bucket that makes the plant look bigger than it is. I kind of like that trick and it reminds me of how you can take a picture of a smaller fish and it looks like a trophy.

Looking good! Pluck a few of the bottom leaves that look a little funky. In flower I cut the stem and leave it longer. If you defoliate in flower, don't clip too closely to buds. The stem will leak. This can cause bud rot. If you leave it longer, it will fall off on it's own later and the juice is not near dense buds.

And now I know why growers defoliate that way, I have read previously about this but with no explanation. Thanks for the info @slowandeasy

There are 5 cuts I did where I left the stem long as per slow's recommendation. I'll give you $100 if you can find them in this picture! :smoking::smoking::smoking:

Looking great. I gave up before even trying to find one... I’d rather just admire the great job you’re doing on them. Looking forward to a strong finish
