Helpp!! The hps came today and i got it set up and everything when i turned it on it flickered and changed between blue and red specs, after about 20 seconds tunrning it on the bulb was boiling hot and i could smell a stong burning smell like singed human hair lol what is the problem here? Is it just because its a new bulb or what, im worried to switch it on now incase i damage the ballast

Did you happen to remove the film that usually is in the reflector when it's packed? When I got my light I wasn't sure if that was suppose to be there or not, it's not suppose to be... Could that be the smell? Did you touch bulb with bare hand? Got body oil on bulb? Just some thoughts... But without a ac reflector the bulb will be hot, but shouldn't be smelling.

yeh i peeled that blue film off, and i did touch the bulb with the back of my fingers so perhaps it burned some hair off them, that would make sense with the smell

That Green-o-Matic is looking great Michael I have been checking out some of GreenHouse strains and was wanting to see some grow logs on them and yours is looking damn fine bro. Good job so far:dance:

Can anyone help me me out here .. The lower leave on my other plant are yellowing and going yellow and rapidly moving up the plant. How can I solve this problem (you can probably see the leaves in attatched thumbnails on my last post)
