Grow Mediums Grodan mini cubes or chunks

Has anyone just grown in a pot full of just grodan mini cubes or chunks? Am i supposed to rinse them with 5.5 phd water from any source then keep them moist until i transplant into them with a bigger rockwool cube? Can i treat these cubes like a hydro grow wster three times daily with nutes in the wayer everytime?

I started a grow like that and just fed it what I was flushing out NFT reservoirs. Would like to try it with an auto I can see through to flower as it was a handy way of getting rid of waste for me. Seems like an expensive way to grow otherwise though.

I soaked my cubes and fed nutes every time but only for a few weeks of veg. Plant looked healthy when I gave it to a mate running 12/12 on his light.

My local hydro store has 7 cf of them for 70 bucks. The reason im attracted to them is i cant overwater just got to keep my ppms of ute strength in check and im in bussiness.
Ppl have told me to ph my water to 5.7 i wonder how high i can take that to? 6.1? How low of phd water can i give them?

Think I read on the Grodan 101 site that rockwool can start breaking down below 5.0 but i go with what it says on my nute bottles which is 5.5-5.8.
