Growing autos outdoors in hot humid gulf coast regions

I have not got shade cloth and will not have it , Soil -- no -- I live in a remote area and can only get cheap bag soil , I mix about 30 % perlite with it , but I have been using it a while now and am happy with it -- have to be -- . what I did find and very important is the type of pot you use if you do . cooking the roots is the issue , black pots , I have probed 38.9 c in a 20 ltr pot .
lets call it black death , no more needs to be said . In ground would be far better , if not a thick walled pot or better still make them out of old pallets , that is what I will do next time , the wood seems to keep the soil a lot cooler , more so if they are hard wood pallets .

If moisture retention is a concern don't hesitate to use vermiculite in your mix. It will absorb water and nutrients and the plant will pick them up when it needs it.

Hell ya that's what I wanted to hear I really appreciate the info but still looking for the info on some good outdoors producers at least 2-3 ozs. Please gimmie some seed company and the names of the one that will give me the 2-3 I'm shooting for. I'm planning on a grow of supercali haze a super auto trying to finish her before the real heat and humidity starts due high humidity and mold when drying my harvest. Anyone have diy dehumidifier. That's really what I need to learn also. When humidity is in the 90s outside usually in the 60-65% range inside my mancave where I would have to dry my girls. So help with some ideas on reducing humidity abt 15% would be greatly appreciated.

I am hesitant to suggest a variety as I personally don't have super high humidity like you do. I'm not sure which are the most mold resistant, but I love dutch passion strains in general. If we flag @DutchPassionTony hopefully he has some good info on the most mold resistant varieties in auto form that they carry.

I can't recommend one company over another, but I am growing a couple Flash Seeds superautos this year and have been very pleased with them thus far, about 75 days in. They have several with Brazilian and Thai genetics, and there's also the Jamaican Berry one as well. I'm growing Copacabana and Muay Thai and they are hearty plants. The Copa is said to do well in a wet climate, and another grower told me his Muay Thai was resistent to mold in the area (he did lose his Copa though, there was a field of rotting grapes nearby supplying plenty of mold spores). So I guess everything with a grain of salt. The supers take close to 4 months to finish, so again I would adjust your calendar next year so they are vegging during your hot/humid season. For the 4 months of growth, I'd expect a very nice yield is possible, easily double, triple or more above your goal.

I want to bump this post as I live in the same general region as the OP. I have DP Think Different, and Fast Buds Rhino Ryder, and Six Shooter. I held off on germing the TD because of all the artilces I have read about mold and bud rot being a problem in humid conditions above 40 or 50% RH. The humidity here where I am is worse because I am landlocked and in the summer we get almost no wind and stay close to or above 100 degrees everyday and humidity doesn't go below 65 or 70% except for the winter here.

Any help or replies on other strains is much appreciated, and thank you in advance!
