Indoor Growing Scrog

Yes, if you are seeing roots stack that second 6 inch block, that will be your final stack.

Also, if you scroll back in this post, you can see that I dealt with the exact same cal mag deficiency.

It is super crucial if you’re using RO water to add that in it turns out 😅
50tds tap water, almost the same thing

As DOA mentioned some time ago, one of the advantages of General Hydroponics Flora Nova Grow -- calcium and magnesium are included.
You all might be aware ... you still need to keep your pH around 6.0 to ensure both of those nutrients can be easily absorbed. Speaking of pH, my ~$100 Apera pH pen suddenly went off scale, by over 0.5 pH. Only reason I became aware was because I double-checked with pH droplets. It's a battle. 😬

Also, Advanced Nutrients' pH Perfect base nutes, made to be used with RO/low ppm water, surely have sufficient Ca/Mg. I use the grow and bloom Connoisseur versions and at worst add some epsom salts once or twice in bloom, essentially never add calcium. And the pH Perfect base nutes don't need to be pH tested or adjusted (using low ppm water and avoiding high salt/ppm supplements).

Gas, here is my ad-hoc stack, 2 4x4s, because my 6" block delivery was late. This is at 14 days, just bent her top over this morning. You can see the roots have already dug into the 6" block.

Those roots grow quick bro!
Nice stack @Mongoose. 👍

As you recommended earlier, I've meanwhile already followed your advice and ordered a dehumidifier during prime days on Amazon. So I hope this will fix the issue. The next run will be even more killer now.
Fantastic! :joy:
You’ll be able to sleep better at night knowing your R/H is dialed in during late flower. 😉

I decided to just go for it. End of day 7 blue cheese. This is my first hydro grow and I haven't even done regular scrog so I appreciate everyone's help.

Edit: @420autoflower why do we wait until day 14 for the automated feeding?
Really no rhyme or reason, except seedlings don’t need much until they develop a decent root system. It’s fine to start earlier.
Day 17. FastBuds Tropicana Cookies. After some glitches at previous grows, I tried ramping up nutes thusly ...

Using General Hydroponics Grow only ...

Easy to remember using PPM scale, next grow.

Her top is over, under there somewhere, not visible in this photo ...

Upskirt, to show root growth ...

Off to a great start brother! :d5:
Your feed strength is close to what I run. I start out at 350 and bump it up to 650ppm by day 10.

Now all we need is a short video of 420 mangling major stems with his pliers, with sound over ...

Lol! Maybe someday.
Really nothing to it!
Just hold the pinch while you slowly work the branch over. As you can see… they can take a lot of abuse.

Little update for everyone.
Coming right along now.

Next update will most likely be the harvest. 25-35 days out.

Thanks for sharing @Saint jimmy! :d5:

Do I see pistils? If so, there is no need to stack any higher.
Always good to use a NPK with calmag.

:yeahthat:
Yes, bro! I run the FloraNova Grow until after stretch to guarantee no deficiencies going into flower and through the heavy growth period.
My Blue Lab pens seem to hold calibration but I do periodically check with a 7.0 calibration solution.
The bottle lasts forever.

IMHO… Advanced Nutrients is a bit pricy and definitely not PH perfect. Too many variables to consider it “PH perfect”. The condition of your water and what you mix in with it are the main ones. I heard a lot of good things about the line a few years ago and gave them a try but couldn’t get their A&B to 6.0 without using PH Up or Down no matter if I ran R/O or my 185ppm tap water. Additives would also throw it off.

Your mistake in using pH Perfect was adjusting the pH. This is contrary to the manufacturer's instructions and the rationale for using these products!

Adjusting pH means needlessly adding salts which will increasingly mess up the pH Perfect functionality (high bioavailability of the well-chelated nutes over a very wide pH range). In the rare case of needing to add soluble salts/high ppm supplement(s), such as Ca or Mg, these can be given foliarly (or just add it to the feed if only done 1 or a few times).

So you’re suggesting for me to run my feed with my PH out of whack? No way!
The PH was always off right out of the bottle, before adding any PH up or down.
I’ve done a lot of testing with that line and it’s far from PH perfect. I think I have some left over that I’ll mix up and post pics of the inconsistencies.
