New Grower Guess the weight loss!

So i chopped a Blue Mystic Auto the other day and weighed it wet, The total weight was 406g, the bowl weighed 162g so the wet bud was 244g. Whats the general consensus on weight loss? i'm expecting to lose 2/3 of that weight so i estimate i'll end up with around 70g? but i don't think i'll end up anywhere near that as i peeked into the bags today and i was like "where's it gone!" I suppose it depends on the the density of the buds? some of these buds were quite airy. 2nd time i've grown the Blue Mystic auto and to be honest i've not got this one dialled in at all, not blaming the breeder as i've seen some nice ones on here but i won't be rushing to grow her again.

I tend to not water for a few days before the chop(so the buds aren`t holding as much excess weight). I usually end up with around 1/3(maybe a touch under) of the `wet` weight!

That would give me a more realistic yield stylez and i'd be pleased with that, i'm expecting it to end up around the 30 mark though to be honest, the buds just aren't of a very good quality. I couldn't let her go any longer though as she was all yellowed despite still throwing out a fair amount of white pistils. To be completely honest i'd completely forgotten how old she was as i threw her in as a replacement seed in the middle of another grow and totally lost track of the days! had to get her out of the tent to give more light and space to my other girls! she'll do as a filler though as the other ladies are due to finish the beginning of July so it's worked out quite well!

Forgot about that Krug88! she probably only went 2 days without water before chopping ( i put her into darkness for 48 hours) the soil was still damp when chopped so yeah that would account for alot of excess weight, thanks buddy something to bear in mind next harvest :thumbs:

I dont even wish to put my wet weed on the scales lol its like setting yourself up for a heart break. Id make a guess at 40-45g by the picture but tough one as like you said they arent dense buds.

@ ninja1 - Lol i know where you're coming from with weighing wet bud, but curiosity got the better of me!

@ si1984 - If it comes in at 61g i'd normally be jumping for joy as that would be my best so far, but i'm really disappointed with the quality, airy, no odour other than the 'hay' smell almost immediately from the chop, and a distinct lack of crystals. When i grew her last time despite being problematic the bud ended up with a lovely berry taste and smell but i'm getting none of that this time, it would be just my luck if i ended up with my best yield so far and it's a big pile of tasteless crap lol! here's hoping when i get it in the jar some magic occurs!

@ Captain - Thanks mate, like the .2! i think you're in with a shout of winning this competition, i'd just like to remind you it ain't like those 'guess the number of jelly beans in the jar' competitions i.e. if you win you don't get to keep what's in the jar (unless it turns out as described to si1984 above! in which case you can have the lot!)
