I started LST today this is my 1st auto grow. please look at pitcher and tell me if I need to defoliate.
I started Germinate on the 15 Jan 18 and planted these on 18 jan 18 . I am told not to do LST until plants are 3 weeks old. These plants are 19 days old . I think I should have started LST at the beginning of week 2.
Do I defoliate now or wait

Welcome to AFN, @PoppyLon56 !:welcome:

Today it seems as tho all things are subject to differences. For example, lights, nutrients, medium grown in and especially personal preferences.

I would start reading as much as possible here. Best info in my opinion!

Your girl looks great! Don't get in too much of a hurry.

If you post your questions in Live Stoner Chat you will get a quicker response from a seasoned grower, of which I am not. :gary:

Defoliating the pitcher isn't a good idea because the baseball season is just around the corner. Ha!

I've got a run going now that I started LST on day 13, they were under a humidity done prior to that. Your probably fine on the defol, I do a little bit along, but I try to tuck leaves before I cut them. If they won't stay down, well...snip!

Hey; I’ve been LST-ing Autos for several years. Yes, by the time 3 weeks comes up they should be almost flowering and the main stem is certainly woody. So yes, late start.

Here is my process but I don’t recommend doing any fimming or topping on Autos until you have a few Auto grows under your belt.

I fim or top when she has her 3rd or 4th set of leaves. Then as soon as they recover from that I start LST.

As I LST I try to tuck fan leaves that are blocking sites. If they won’t tuck they come off. However keep it to a minimum until they are budding because until then she needs the fans.

This is end of week 3 veg of an Auto Cheese that has been topped once and LST’d.
