also be sure to get the buffer liquids to make sure that it is in check.
My last full grow did develop very low soil PH about 35 days in. At that time, my meter showed them at 5.5 PH. So although it may not be accurate, it at least alerted me to low PH. I have some PH up but the last time I used it I think I used too much at a time and stressed my plants too much, because they hermied on me. Still harvested and smoked, but I'm hesitant to use it unless I absolutely need too. The bottle gives a recommended amount at 25 gallons (its for fish tanks), so it's really hard to get a precisely accurate amount.
Also, I do have PH test strips (old school) but I'm not sure how the BB and TB does or will affect the reading they provide. I haven't used them for this reason.
I really like this forum. You guys are super knowledgeable and helpful, and it's dedicated to auto flowers so that's a plus!
The next time you feed/water, capture some of the run off and test it with the strips. Even with the nutrients you should still be able to get a descent reading. While they also aren't as accurate as a digital pH meter, they will at least give an indication of how accurate your soil meter is.
Also, can I get a good reliable PH meter for under $50? Any recommendations for when I have some funds to get one?
The CWP A8 is highly recommended, and works great, and comes in right at $50 plus change, no shipping, from Hydro Galaxy
Yeah I've also heard a lot of good things about that one! Thanks for stopping by my thread.
less is more.if they look good stay there.dont go past 1/2 strength trust me.that white widow is not a very heavy feeder.the red fan leaf stems could be mag nitr phos or potash.better to be under fed than over and ocean forest should have fed them till round now so honestly I think u might be givin them too much right now.i would just give ph water on next time.with fox farm products its better to feed water feed or even feed water water.but that's my opinion.good luck bro
