Hello everyone. I'm brand new to this forum and am looking to start my first Auto grow in a few weeks here. I've done plenty of photo grows but never an auto and am really looking forward to it. I have a 1000 watt hps and a 250 watt mh available for this endeavor, not sure what direction I'm gonna go in and any advice would be welcome. I'm gonna search this site and hopefully come away with some good info.

Hello NE... in the words of Joe Walsh "welcome to the club". You got plenty of light there, maybe just "run what ya brung" for a grow or 3 and see how things fair. I happen to be an afficianado of MH & HPS lighting. Hot, expensive, terrible heat signature for stealth...and spectacular results. Settle in, run a few grows (autos let you just grow & grow & grow) and see how ya feel about things w/o getting spendy...(yet :X's Evil Laugh x Welcome, and keep us in the know. Puff, puff, pass

(..and keep an eye on this TaNg character above. He's a fuckin' Master at this...well spoken and much respected and when you check out his grows you'll know why. )

What I do need help with is deciding on a strain to start with

That is a hard one, and you probably won't get a lot of recommendations (people are afraid of showing bias or being unfairly promotional). Your best bet would be to browse through the Smoke/Grow report sections to find the strain that constantly peeks your interest. Time to bring out some ADHD style hyper focus. I know Dragons are a big hit here (You can get them from RCMC), and it doesn't matter which kind. The Think Different has a big following also, I am a recent fan of the Dark Devil by sweet seeds myself. Something is bound to stick out for ya the more ya look

Kool thanks I'll check that stuff out. It's hard for me to decide I've never grown an auto and only smoked one I'm basically a sativa dominant grower but I do love a good heavy indica from time to time also
