Came across the network after watching some vids on youtube. I didn't even know auto's existed lol. From the little research I have done, going with auto's will work out nicely. Looking forward to all the knowledge available on the site and getting started on my first grow.

First off welcome to the network. A home away from, well all that crap we deal with. :eyebrows: I just got in to auto in the last few months and have really enjoyed them.
You'll see pretty quick that this is like no other canna site on earth. Just friendly folks who want to share and learn.
Truer word have not been spoken. If you need anything, just ask. People here are always willing to help. No question is to elementary. I hope you enjoy the stay here bud, and till next time. Take care.:smoking:

Do you have experience w.with photos, or is this your first venture into growing?

I don't have any experience growing canna. I've grown pepper plants over the last few years with success. I figured I can give this a shot and hopefully do well also.

I will be sure to post any questions I have if I can't find it previously posted. Thanks for the welcome guys!

The biggest single piece of advice I can give you, is KISS. Keep it simple silly. As easy as that sounds, you may notice it getting rather complex. I know I sure did.

I ended up scratching my 1st grow. I had 3 ladies that I just tried to much on, and they where suffering really, REALLY bad. When I took them to the compost pile I intended to dump them later that day and ended up getting pretty ill. I was not able to go outside for ~6 weeks, the entire time, I forgot about the 3 ladies just sitting there. When I was able to go back out under this great light we know as the sun, I found 3 flourishing plants that had just started to bud. I ended up reclaiming those plants and harvesting an Oz between the 3 (they came from a micro cab, so they where smaller). After reclaiming them, I just watched for signs of "hunger" deficiencies, and so on. I didn't go "hey if I top every branch, break it in half, and play twister with it, will it work?"

My point is, is that if I had just taken it easier, those plants could have flourished much much more. I'm not sure what type of medium you plan on using, but take your time. Make sure to enjoy it, and fall in love with your plants. Show them some love, and they will show it right back (65 days later >.< lol) Take care bud.:smoking:

Edit: I know this is a site dedicated to growing auto, but you should try some photosensitive (regular) plants too. I personally love them both, and feel that they both have a place in my gardens.

I plan on keeping it as simple as possible until a get several successful grows in the books. I like the Grow at Lowe's guide. That one is right up my alley lol.
