Ok so right now I have a 315 cmh in there but wanna put that back in my big flower room an build a cob big enough to do my whole tent, kinda on a budget gonna either use the citizen 1212 or the 1217 I think is the next one up I have a mars reflector 96 an a mars 700 I can use for parts, I DONT want to rebuild the mars lights I wanna build a new frame an use the drivers an heatsinks from the mars lights, an upgrade the drivers later on when I get more cash, the little reflector is hanging in the big room for side lighting still so haven't ripped it apart yet, the 700 has 7 drivers an I'm assuming the other one prolly has 3 or 4 , there's nothin written on the driver's not sure how much they will power.. will 1 driver power 2 citizen 1212's? I've read a ton of stuff I've been to the mars thread an watched the videos, still don't really get it how to wire it all together.. also should I use the fans that are in the mars or make it passive heatsinks? Should I buy diff heatsinks or add to what I got I'll pop the reflector open if I need to

Great idea on the convert but you will need to find out the drive current for those drivers before adding the cobs, you need to know how many each driver will drive and at what wattage... at a guess and this is only a guess from seeing many Mars hacks on you-tube (growmau5 has really good one that you need to watch) and the one hack I have done is that on the reflector you will get 2 per driver but again don't quote me on it you need to find out those drive currents and wattage or you could potentially fry your cobs or woefully under power them... just ask about on the other forums someone has already done it. I was lucky my mars lights still had there stickers on, they stopped doing it recent to save money on stickers but I say they didn't like us growers hacking their lights.... watch the growmau5 tutorial on it.

Yea I watched his videos but the one he had was a mars II 700, which I think I might be a little diff , the mars I have I don't THINK IS THE II I think it's the 1st one it's like 4 years old, wasn't sure if anyone had done it yet, that one has like 7 drivers, ok well time to google some more
If I just get a tester can't I just test the drivers to see the volts an amps? I can grab one today at work, will that tell me what I need to know?

I think if you are good with a meter you can test the output. I'm not much on electricity, cept when it comes to getting zapped!
Well I decided to scrap the mars idea, just gonna grab 4 almost complete 1812s from big smo to put around my cmh for now an when I get a few more bucks gonna take the cmh out an add 2 or 3 autocobs
Yea he seems to know his cobs pretty well an explains it so it's pretty easy to understand
