Hello there AF.net dudes and gals. You all good? Hope all is well! :)

So let me get straight on point if you dont mind. Cheap "600W" piece of garbage???? that my friend has given me basically for free. So the claimed "draw" is 100 watt (sore one!) and claimed true wattage is 292. Claims to be epistar 10w (2x5)

Anyway, I'll be perfectly honest with you ; that means absolutely nothing to me other than it's clearly crap right? (In fairness with the reds, it seems okay for a supplemental scrog light at best)

... so the thing that I want to know is can I do anything with this? Using the existing drivers where possible, possibly using them with cobs or crees? Apologies in advance but I put my hands up when I say I know nothing about this! Other than I'm a car mechanic so wiring and basic circuits i'm fine with.

I have attached pictures of the internals so that you can view the drivers and whatnot. I'd really appreciate anyones help! The idea is to keep the budget low, for example an MEIZHI 450w (200) reflector costs about £90-£100 so in my view a diy COB would probably be just as good if not better, whilst learning this as I go from all of you pros!

**puff puff......** who's hitting next?

Hey now.
We need to find out what those drivers do, by that I mean voltage and current specs. From there we can determine what you can run in it. A lot of folks retro fit these guys so hopefully we can find the specs so we can do something with yours. A quick google did not show anything but maybe you can.

Input : 100:240 volts AC
50/60hz constant draw 0.7A - PF 0.9
150-200 watts it says after I searched the model number of the driver in my pictures. I'm so sorry if that's not what you meant man lol

no datasheets available on the morsen part number. However, there is a 300W king/kind??generic looking led rebranded running the same part and it pushes 145 watts draw. Thank santajesusgod for smoke otherwise i'd be lost here man haha thanks in advance!

PS i hear alot about how cheap and excellent meanwell drivers / citizen cobs are so if anyone fancies telling me what ones i'd need exactly then i'd be happy. Viparspectra 450 reflector $£ diy maximum lol

Totally replied to you above without clicking reply

The info we need is what makes up those watts. What combination of volts and amps it has on the outputs. There may be ways of determing this I don't know how though, sorry. I'll see if I can find some more info. The COB has specific requirements regarding volts and amps so once we know what the driver produces we can find a COB or COBs that match.
