Hey Marley ... a quick sum to convert your gals per hour into liters per min & I get 8.8 ... the min has to be around 15 & ideally you would have 30lpm going to each bucket .So I think you will see growth at a slower rate due to not enough air going to each bucket .I would say you need to double what air you have going in ,its all about oxygen saturation in DWC & without a lot of it things are not optimal .

You will need a spare bucket for res changes mate. Either make a fresh res in the spare & swap lids/plant over...or put the plant into the spare while you clean (with just water) & prep the other & replace ect.

You would make a fresh res the same but 100ppm(0.2 ec) higher & swap, monitor & see where it goes .I guess you could add the base nute to the existing res maybe to up it a bit ,rather then waste a whole res .but remove the plant when you do & make sure its all mixed before putting her back .You wont notice any big drops or rises in EC/PPM for a while ,until they get bigger (Not from them feeding anyway)... If you just have a root in res now ,id make the ppm 300 with RO water (thats around EC-0.6) & PH-5.5-5.6 .

good luck

Well thats disappointing to hear that about my airpump and airstones being not powerful enough... lol its WAY more powerful then the last Sunleaves single outlet pumps i used before and I only had 1 airstone in each bucket now I have two going into each... w/ the new 380 gph pump

360 gph = 28.75 lpm ... I have 30lpm going into each bucket mate ... IMO you could make 28.75 lpm run two buckets at the most ?. but it would be better just running one bucket . Not saying they wont grow ,but the amount of 02 the roots can absorb is important in DWC ...essential in fact !. By limiting the 02 supply you effectively starve the plant of oxygen & that has a big effect on size/yield.:peace:

360 gph = 28.75 lpm * So thats 28.75 lpm coming outof the whole airpump or each outlet? sorry mate just trying to understand fully ":)

Sounds like your gettin in down now Marley!

I add nutes to the res in my refill water, so if my res looks 1L low ill add 1L of water with whatever percentage of nutes I'm using at that moment.

Glad to hear about the roots that's the Voodoo Juice by far best root stim on the market and I've used the top ones.

And ur good on the the pumps bro I'm running a stealth low budget grow and my first grow in my sig I only ran and currently still are running a tetra 40 and tetra 10 at a whopping 2.5 lpm in a 4-5L res and they are doing amazing IMO. Ur good homie with that and look forward to seeing sum beautiful ladies homie.

Tap Root... C+, Jack H. has got one to...

Taproots touchin the water. all systems go...

Can I add a little bit of the Root stim additives as well? to raise that PPM up to 300 or just the base nute? I only added 4.5 of Ancient Earth and 4.5 Voodoo Juice....

Research ur line, voodoo juice is AN's root stim. Good luck with everything bro I have any questions on the nutes I'm no expert but I'm on my second run with AN & have plenty of correspondence with AN on basically every supplement.

Yea thats the whole output mate ... you will run 2 buckets ok with that pump, but I have more air going into one bucket than that pump puts out ... depends what your after... a small stealth grow will do fine with less air,but you wont get huge yields .If your looking to grow monsters like seymour ect then you need to optimize the setup & that means as much 02 as they can possibly take up .I would not split either of my 30lpm pumps to 2 buckets now I know how big the system can grow them...ive spent 100's on nutes / led / beans ,why not have the pump up to scratch with everything else ? ... DWC is one of the best/fastest growing/heaviest yielding systems there is ... If you don't have enough light they will not grow to full potential ... same with nutes ... & same for air as well ...the whole setup is based on oxygenated nutrient solution for rapid consumption !. Ive seen grows with weak pumps & the final product is never as good as it could have easily been ,for lack of one simple equipment upgrade !!!.

ask yourself how big do you want to go ?.... if its big as possible ,then maybe upgrade the pump ... if your happy with an oz or 2 ,& that will last till the next crop ,keep the one you have :peace:

Great Info! I'm going to try and run 3 airstones in each bucket vs the 2 I was planning since the other bean never came up... Not much else I can do for the current project pretty much locked in.. And i might have to purchase a Bluelab PH meter because I'm getting kinda sick of the Liquid PH test kits :(

(Two different commercial pumps in my price range)

Would this be quite an improvement for my current setup? I was just worried about the Sound that these guys might put off...

ALSO...
What if I were to hook up the smaller pumps I have and put the airtubes directly in the res w/o the airstones tell I'm able to get more airstones? Do they have to have the airstones to be efficient? I've got 3 smaller 1 outlet airpumps I can utilize. I've already hooked up one w/ just the tube running in the res, seems to make quite a bit more bubbles :)?
