(Two different commercial pumps in my price range)

Would this be quite an improvement for my current setup? I was just worried about the Sound that these guys might put off...

ALSO...
What if I were to hook up the smaller pumps I have and put the airtubes directly in the res w/o the airstones tell I'm able to get more airstones? Do they have to have the airstones to be efficient? I've got 3 smaller 1 outlet airpumps I can utilize. I've already hooked up one w/ just the tube running in the res, seems to make quite a bit more bubbles :)?
checked those links mate... now your talkin bubbles !.. but like you said ,no specs on dba so they could be a bit loud ?. I use a hailea super silent & its pretty much that . either of those would run 2 buckets perfect or maybe 3 even , with max 02 saturation .You can put spare pumps with no stones in also ... the more air the better... you could maybe block the line at the end & make some small holes in it for a home made air cushion !. good luck man :peace:

less buckets to look after 1st grow is a good thing really Marley ... its a pretty hands on attention seeking system that will occupy more time than you think ...maybe the 3rd bean not popping is a blessing !

Hey thanks ViracochaDWC; you got any links for other quieter air pumps you could link me? Maybe the ones you use even? :)

:five:I think Seymour uses this one to run 2 buckets ,its 60lpm ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hailea-su...den_PondsWaterFeatures_UK&hash=item2c6f5e1ca1 & here ...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60-LT-MIN...den_PondsWaterFeatures_UK&hash=item5af0fe6e65

I use a 30lpm pump for each bucket like this one ... the link is for a 60lpm but my 30lpm is exactly the same ,just half the power . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hailea-Lo...4?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item460f026dda.

if your not in the UK just copy & paste the title into your ebay search & something should come up mate
they come with a multi outlet valve ,but i sling that & attach 1 good air diffuser with a 8/9mm airline ... this does not restrict the air at all & that helps with max output & keeps the pump quiet ...also place the pump as high as the bucket lid ... this helps to keep noise low as the pump is not having to work as hard ...also extends its life I guess AND if it did happen to break you wont siphon the whole res through the pump onto your growroom floor !

Well I've been having Major PH problems the last two days, Planning on just switching out the buckets for plain RO water for at least 2-3 days. PH was rising very high very fast. I think when I put food in the buckets again soon I will take it easy on the additives and stick mainly to the grow for the rest of veg. Plants look stunted and have small tip burns and leaf curl :( For some reason my Synthetic lineup from GH last time took off, this one is struggling. I may just go and figure out how to swap over to soilless mix to finish up the Organic feed lineup if these don't come through... I only don't understand how what kind of buckets I would need to prevent draining the soiless mix all over my tent floor>?

Hey bro
:pop:
I'm glad to see some one giving the AN organic a try in DWC, as I'm putting together a plan now for one. From what I can gather organic is quite different to a normal DWC grow. Iv learnt you have to have cooler water temps for your nutes, especially for your mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria. You need to look after them and in return they will look after your plant. I'm thinking about putting a submersible bio filter from a fish tank into my DWC so it filters the water and creates a home for the myco, they will filter it and poop out the usable nutes for you plants.
Also RDWC works well for Organics.

So.... 0.4 EC is a bit low right? I am 3 weeks into veg pictures coming soon. But my question is having low PPM means my plants won't get enough food right? I've just been running a EC of 0.4 lately because of the Fear of burning them.... Will my plants stay small and yield low because of my low EC? The PH has been slowing creeping up which is probally good because last run it dropped more often then raised... Also they seem to be taking up much more water lately and I suppose thats good too.

I'm guessing you gave up on the organic DWC bro? I've too been considering a similar set up to combine organic taste with hydro yields..Let me know if you went any further with it! :peace:
