I currently have 6 with spots of mold on them. I have read alot about using hydrogen peroxide and straying on the affected areas.

Can anyone give me the down and dirty about my options here? I have 6 that are due for the chop in 15 days and all have some spots of mold. i have several others that wont be ready for a few weeks.

I would like to have my strategy down now on what to do becasue in a few weeks im gonna have alot more to come down and potentially, alot more mold.

Before the pros chime in. I know that prevention of mold is the way to go. Unfortunately It is too late on these 6......

I would personally toss them as a preventative measure for the other plants

Hate to tell you this I would chop the girls that are about to be ready in a couple of weeks now, I than would do a peroxide wash on the harvested buds to salvage the most you can... Mold is some nasty dangerous stuff, also have battles a mold problem myself. I have not seen in return in a couple of months but I best bet my bottom dollar that it's still here just waiting for that suspectible lady to hit.... I killed tons of plants at the time to try and contain it at much as I could... I used a multi product approach at trying to keep it at bay, and any clones that I had that were important or photos that were about to be put Into flower that were exposed to the ladies that had the mold got sprayed with forbid (toxic nasty stuff you can source at ebay, it's a bit pricey)... I have tried to improve air circulation as best as I could, cleaned area well and have done a ton of praying and givings of burnt offerings to keep it away... :karma Cloud:
I would NOT SPRAY anything on them flowering ladies.... Other than some milk to water 1:10% ratio, a plain spray of h20 high in ph like 8-9, could possibly try sm-90 on the ones that got a while.... Also without pics and knowing what type of mold you have it's hard to tell you how to best proceed... I say harvest what you can, cull the rest and sanitize grow area and start over... Sorry if this isn't the news your looking to hear... Wishing you the best of luck in everything brother!

I got mold in my lungs and it almost killed me. Don't know if it's the same kind, I got it from living in a basement, but I hear the word and freak out

A couple of possibilities are:

1 Prune out the affected parts of the plant (including any surrounding buds which may have been infected but not yet be showing visible symptoms) and leave it to ripen some more. Depending on the conditions this may buy you enough time to ripen the buds a bit more, although repeat pruning visits to remove more mould are almost a dead cert. I reckon this approach has bought me almost a fortnight on a Auto Mazar, long enough to flush it a bit anyway.

2 Harvest the whole of the affected plants (and nearby ones?) now, dissect out the affected buds to deal with as you see fit and dry and cure the remainder as normal. You might feel that the possible increase in bud yield if they are left longer will struggle to make up for the potential losses when rot does strike fully. I saw last year that it could go from virtually nothing to 50% loss of a cola in a couple of days quite easily, but it will depend on your conditions.

These are the only options I tend to take, although there certainly a lots of ways to string a cat.

Thanks for the help guys. i am going to try to cut off the affected areas amnd hopefully it will buy me some time.

Im a newbie and everything this grow went perfect, now this. It is amazing how fast this mold formed, was literally over a two day period. From what I can see, this could definetely wipe out a whole crop in a few days if it isnt detected and at least monitored.

I feel you man. My Northern Lights Auto got bud rot overnight. Things go well and just like that it all goes to shit. I remain hopeful that I can save my plants and I'm wishing all the best for your salvaging attempt as well!

Too right guys. Mold is like the AIDS of plant life. Cut it out and treat with every tool at your disposal.
As the guys say, there is no upside to this. Burn what you chop and pray. Sorry bro', it's not what you want to hear but do what you can. Doing nothing is no option at all. Good luck pal, eP.
