Different Symtoms on 1 plant.

Ok, so I have a different set of symptoms showing up one of my Photos. The same strain as the K def showed up first. HR (Blubonic x gg3) x auto GG. This is a funky looking pheno, but was from almost day 1 in veg.

Several Fan leaves have a dry leathery texture to them.

Top leaves were standing up this morning.

Some top leaves are slightly curled inward .I did find a thrip on one of these leaves, but the plant is far from any serious infestation. I did foliar spray Neem oil on it this a.m.

Several of the bottom leaves are twisted, as you will note on the last pic.-right hand side.

What is it? I'm sure the causation is the wet soil, but I would still like to know what the def/defs , (if any other than the K is), and if there is a treatment.

Or, am just waiting for the death of the plant due to root rot? Me thinks that is probably the case, with all the different issues showing up.

Here are some pics.

The white on the leaves on the left is just sunlight hitting them. Twisting leaves on right.

Hi Stick! If it was a weirdie, like my petite Red dwarf was from the get-go, then it's probably just staying the course, so to speak, and may do odd things on it's way to maturity... doesn't look to have any signs of nute' issues that I can think of.... even wet soil/root issues... those would cause leaf drooping, if anything, but it wouldn't hurt to ask Jm or X to have a look... I think it's just being it's mutant self! LOL! *** Gonna get to your post at my place today, stick, and I believe I must start a Sweet thread too, with the girls I have, and may get later, ... :D

7-7 Update on other Photos.

Ok, this was my second day of applying molasses/Epson Salt foliar feed.

The K leaf tip necrosis has ceased.

The first pic is a good overall representation of how 6 of the plants look.
Second pic is showing some slight leaf canoeing on some new growth of a 7th plant.
Eighth plant shown in last post.

How are they looking overall ?
The new growth seems a little to light in color to me.
They are still defiantly growing in height though, as I have been measuring them.

Thanks for all feedback.:tiphat:

I agree with waira. From what I've seen, IMHO, most of this has come from a very healthy case of "New Grower Concerns". When I said "healthy", I meant it is a good thing. You did a number of things right in dealing with this. You had no way of knowing if they were serious issues, due to inexperience, so you asked for advice before doing anything (that is rare in the infirmary).

You showed excellent patience before acting after getting various different opinions... gave yourself time to logically sort it out.

It is always better to be safe than sorry. IMO, the plants look great. :peace:

LOL!- are you kidding me, Stickbro'? There are people here who would roll an old lady in a parking lot for plants that looked this good! :roflcry: Hop digity I say, come harvest time, after processing a few plants, and your eye-balls are about to implode, and you stick to everything you come in contact with,....you'll be wishing for more stunted ladies!! :crying:

I spoke a little to soon on that one. Went out at 5:00 p.m., and found Oh, maybe 10 tips on the first plant that it showed up on and a few on it's next door neighbor. No big deal at this point, I guess I will go ahead and continue foliar feeding for the K def for now.

Yea I guess I will pass on using it for breed stock.:D

waira, believe or not I have not seen any plants in the flesh, except for some very skanky looking plants at the dispensary where I get my Coco Canna Butter.

X, yea I first try to self-diagnose, but if there is any doubt I don't/won't hesitate to reach out for advice, as I know AFN is such a great peer to peer mentoring network in such a friendly and non dogmatic environment. For that I am very grateful to all of you teacher/mentors.:grat:

Heyt stick... can you give us a rundown on yor soil? I'm starting to wonder if you dont have insuccicient something in there..

the light green is fine... you wanna grow veg cycles with more calcium than nitrogen... nitrogen makes plants unhealthy in excess...

but the coninued PK issue makes me think we better get soil details. :toke:

He's using L's recipe. I re-checked it and there was not much there for K (no potash). I think L probably accidentally left it out when he put the recipe together. I think stick has already made arrangements to work some into his mix. Have a look and see if you pick up anything else.

Yes, that is correct. I have approximately 25 gallons of soil that I will add some wood ash to, and let it cook for my next round of Autos. Then I will take care of the rest of it early next spring for next years outdoor grow.

Jm, if you do indeed do see anything else in L's mix, that I might want to add please let me know.

Ok, Still a very small amount of new leaf tip necrosis this morning. Foliar fed once again.

Also I have 2 HR (GH x C99s) in my tent under T5HOs that are approximately 5 weeks old, in the same TLO batch. No K def symptoms showing up yet (that I'm aware of anyway). Should I go ahead and start to foliar feed them now, and/or wait until my next watering of them, and use a tea with some K, and molasses or.....?

Here are a couple of pics of them:

Thanks as always for all of your help everyone.:tiphat:

filars never hurt in my experience (as long as its not on mold in wet conditions as previously discussed)

L's mix should be solid... so that says slow biology for me... prob due to too much moisture.
cheers!
