Ok being U.K. Based my options for buying cobs are limited, since there is the 5x 1212 on eBay that seems the best route paired with hlg 1400ma, can I run all 5 cobs off of that if I turn the dimmer down? (And how much) reason being I need to buy 5 cobs I might as well run then all for a little more eff

This is for a 2x4 grow room currently using a ~315w chinese blurple led, will it be enough? Half way through photo grow an probably one more of them before I switch to autos.

My plan was to run the blurple in middle and 4 cobs on outside but I believe that'll be too much heat

If someone would be kind enough to organise a parts list for me I would love them forever more, thanks.

I will gladly help you brother but not tonight as I am fookin red up :pimp:

You don't need 250w in there imo but it would rock! :headbang:

I have 200w of 1212s in a 3x3 and that is proving enough so far. I'm sure they could take more though! :vibe:

Feel free to send me a PM mate as I am old and haggard and have little memory :hookah:

Yea wouldn't 5 on the 185-1400 driver dimmed be 200w? Might go for the 250w route though, I mean you can grow good plants or amazing plants, I know which one id rather have! Thanks man I've got my heads round the basics of these cobs but they don't make it easy haha

You might want to look around at other grows. There IS such a thing as too many lights. I burned the tops off a couple of plants when I switched over to cobs. Its easy to do and doesn't take much time at all. If you go for multiple cobs in a 2x4 I would definitely start them out low and high for global light.

I am a coward now when it comes to dropping the lights. Lesson learned.

One thing Ive learned since my first few grows, less can be more with light. I stuffed 340W of cobs in a 2x4 with two OG kush photos and they started great under 200w but ended up only yielding around 5 ounces probably because I made the assumption more light = bigger plant.

I'm happy the community is seeing the power of these cobs. The power of a 300w LED from a 22mm chip is not something to take lightly. In a 2x4 I would go with a max of 150watts but more like 100 cob watts. Regular LED I would go with a claimed 600watts which would be more like 300 walll watts
